Hotel Cherubini

Basic but clean room. Nice, simple continental style breakfast which I was able to order online in advance. Staff were very nice and location was good, close to Roma Termini. Ideal for trains and metro. Located on a street with many restaurants with pushy staff trying to entice you in. Not the fault of the property.

Perfect location for Rome - right next to Termini station. Room was clean and overall it was nice for a 2-night-stay. Room wasn’t spacious. Only a small table where only one person could sit.

WARNING! Avoid this hotel! We chose this hotel mainly because of its location close to the train station, as we had a very early departure to the airport. We expected the surrounding area to be full of homeless people and to have an unpleasant smell. That is not the hotel’s fault. What is the hotel’s fault, however, is its absolutely outrageous staff. At 1:04 a.m., someone started banging on our door. I didn’t respond because I assumed it was just a drunk guest. I was shocked, however, when I heard the door unlock and someone entered our room. It was a man of Indian origin who spoke very poor English and claimed to be the receptionist. He was completely unable to explain why he had entered our room in the middle of the night. I asked for his name and an explanation, but I got neither. I therefore took his photo (which I have attached), then locked and secured the room again myself. Needless to say, after such an incident it was impossible to get any sleep before our early morning flight. The next morning, when I asked the front desk for an explanation, the receptionist was extremely arrogant. She simply told me, “That’s not my problem,” and “I don’t like your attitude.” I asked to speak to the hotel manager, but the response was no different: “It happened. Complain wherever you want—on Booking.com, to the police, I don’t care.” Despite this serious breach of our privacy and security, we received no compensation whatsoever. The only apology came after I confronted the entire staff about the fact that, throughout the whole conversation, not a single person had even offered a basic apology. I will never stay at this hotel again. If, like me, you are looking for a quiet place near the train station, do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

Basic hotel near centre of Rome. Reasonable price Could of done with a touch up with paint etc but for what it was worth I'd take it. Basic
