The proximity to the train station, it has a metro and bus station as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms are clean. Its outdated, it smells a lot of cigarette, and at the door it smells and has all the garbage. Price versus value makes it not worth it.

The location is very unsafe. The Hotel shares the entrance and courtyard with other hotels and nobody seems to care. Drug users and bumps use these areas it to spend the night.

Nothing. Rude and dishonest management. Hotel Washington in Rome is a scam!!! Please be aware!!! I booked a room through Booking.com for one night from October 18-19, 2025. Just as I was about to go to the hotel with my suitcase, I received a call from the hotel at around 4 PM saying that they have no rooms available and the reservation was made by Booking.com by mistake. They told me not to come to the hotel. Rome had multiple events that weekend (half-marathon, etc.) so I spent the next 3 hours trying to find another room. Eventually, I was able to find a room through Booking.com near the airport. To my shock, Hotel Washington charged me for the room as a "no show" in spite of the fact that THEY called me to say that they have no room for me even though I had made a reservation. When I complained to Booking.com, the hotel told them that "they could have honored the booking". If you have a confirmed room at this hotel and they call to tell you that they have no room available and the reservation was made by a mistake, please make sure to go to the hotel and ask for a room. If they refuse, call your booking agency and let them know that there is no room so that they can talk to the hotel and you are not charged for the room. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT HOTEL WASHINGTON IN ROME IS A SCAM and is run by liars!! I am equally upset by losing $400 and being left stranded in Rome without a room.

The bathroom was very small, not a place to hang the towels. The air-conditioner was not working. The windows were not very clean and had cigarettes ash, and the door didn't close properly. We had to put a chair beside the door so no people could get in.

It was a good deal and feels very safe. Hotel has double doors and they lock 2 of them. So random strangers can’t enter the hotel. If you are looking for cheap hotel in central Rome, i would recommend you Rooms don’t have kettle. There was only one for guests and doesn’t have iron

Only the location is good but it's difficult to find the hotel as the Branding and display boards are not good enough Many things I don't like. The ceiling panel was found open and AC work is going. The toilet was too small and with a faulty water tap. Beware of the neighbourhood late at night or early morning especially if starting for an early morning flight from FCO..

The staff was helpful and at least the room was clean. The location is very close to a metro hub. We paid for a triple room, because we needed separate beds and double rooms only had queen beds. The moment we were shown our room, it was a double room. We complained and they moved us to this tiny triple room, with no closet and a window that was impossible to close. We tried, the staff tried, no luck. Fortunately I had earplugs. Unfortunately, they did not protect me against the loud banging caused by trash bins being moved right under our window, in the hotel courtyard, around 6am. My roommate thought it was an earthquake, I was convinced someone was trying to break into the room by slamming the door down, that's how loud it was. Bathroom was poorly equipped, a few tiny soap bars, no shower gel, no shampoo, no hanger for towels. No one cleaned the room for three days. They didn't change towels or refill toilet paper. There were rats in the courtyard every single day, though that may be a city issue. The area does not feel safe for women and children after dark, a fight broke out on the first night and every evening there were very shady characters lurking around, plus a guy shooting heroin or something similar four meters from the hotel entrance.

The best part of the stay was the location—very convenient, just a short walk from Rome Termini station , and surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and shops, which made exploring the city easy. The room was decent, but the toilet was extremely congested. The shower area was very small and uncomfortable to use—definitely not ideal for most guests. It would be much better if the bathroom space was improved. Also, there were no basic amenities like a glass to drink water or a kettle to make tea or coffee, which was quite disappointing.
