Hotel Gambrinus
About Hotel Gambrinus
Gambrinus Hotel is in a quiet, residential area near Porta Pia, just a 15 minute walk from the Spanish Steps and Via Veneto. The charming and elegant rooms offer free Wi-Fi. The service is personalized. The rooms are furnished in four different styles, and in four dominant colors: red, beige, green and yellow. Each offers a satellite LCD TV with pay-per-view channels, and a teakettle with a selection of tea and coffee. The beautiful breakfast room features original stone-works of the 19th century in the vaulted ceilings, and Roman-travertine floors. A generous buffet is served daily, and includes cereals, bread, pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, cheese, and cold cuts. The young, multi-language staff will help arrange the stay according to guests needs. Nearby public buses provide services to Termini Train Station, the Coliseum, and the Vatican. Location is quite ok, a good districts, shops and restaurants near, 15-20 minutes walk to Trevi and 40 minutes walk to Coliseum Mini bar is only for bottles of water and it is forbidden to use it as a fridge (if you do, you need to pay) which is weird especially in hot climate. Air conditioning is central, you can't switch it off unless you open the window and it makes quiet a lot of noise especially when you try to sleep Breakfast was diverse at the first glance but every day the same (we stayed for a week)

Nice hotel and excellent breakfast. Close to termini train station.
-
Good location only 15 minutes to central train station and metro. Less than an hour’s walk to all the monuments of Rome. Internet signal kept dropping in the room. Only other issue was the street noise of cars and people at night which is not really the hotel’s fault. Overall a decent and pleasant stay

Charming little boutique hotel in a perfect location. Just a 20-minute walk to all the main attractions. Surrounded by plenty of great restaurants. Cozy, stylish, and a wonderful place to stay in Rome!

Room decor. Soap, sewing kit were a nice touch. Brekki was nice. Lots of choice. Some weird breakfast choices, salad, rice and vegetable.
-
The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, with lots of storage place plus very diverse and delicious breakfast. Very close to Faro specialty coffee with amazing coffee options. Close to the train station and bus stations, a few of them were in front of the hotel All was ok

Closeness to the center elevator malfunction, small bedroom ,without breakfast
-
You get good value for what you're paying. A little far from the main tourist attractions. The breakfast buffet was a little poor

Our room had a beautiful view of the embassy courtyard but we were lucky. It was very clean and comfortable. We felt that the renovations didn’t match the hotel. Ie old and modern together.
