No bell hop when you first arrive so we carried up our luggage to the reception desk … I learned later we could have called them to get a bell hop outside to help

The staff are amazing. The location is the best possible for visiting the Vatican. The rooms are super tiny. Shower and bathroom super tiny.

FANTASTIC location. Great staff !

Staff was exceptional. Location was fantastic. Short walk to the Vatican and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Courtyard of hotel was nice, but they allowed smoking, so it smelled awful. The room was old and tired. The shower was very small. Hard water deposits everywhere in the shower. Looks dirty. There was mold on the wall and the ceiling in the bathroom. The mattress was very uncomfortable. I wouldn’t want to stay there in the summer since the air conditioning cannot be adjusted. We cut our trip short.

Too noisy, can't sleep all night due to the noise from people on the street and the seagulls outside the hotel. The bed is super soft.

Quiet No water

The location is absolutely PERFECT!! Steps away from Saint Peter’s basilica. The hotel is quiet and relaxing… staff is kind, except for the restaurante people, they are rude! Avoid them at all costs!! The two people serving breakfast are rude (a man and a woman). Then, half an hour after breakfast, the same man showed up in my room, and entered without even knocking!!! To his surprise I was in my room and he IMMEDIATELY left. I reported it to the desk person and they said “oh he must have made a mistake” but the weird part was that he never asked if I had ordered anything (in order for it to be mistake), he was holding a coffee mug that I never ordered, but he not once said “oh here’s the mug your ordered” nothing!!! And he came straight to my room I heard him clearly… It’s the first time in my life that hotel staff enters my hotel room without knocking first!!! Imagine if I were changing clothes!!!!! They need to train their personnel!!

Charming and beautiful. Not complaining.
-
Not easily accessed by car so cab had to stop on street above and we had to lug our baggage down several stairs right next to gypsies/homeless.

You just simply can't beat this location. The building is a beautiful 500 year old building that has always been used as guest house for the Vatican. The staff is absolutely amazing. Every time we walked through the door they greeted us like we were royalty. We also had a lot of questions about logistics around visiting the Vatican. The hotel staff was always ready to help us navigate visits to the Vatican. The breakfast is absolutely amazing! And the staff serving the breakfast were some of the sweetest people I've ever encountered in a hospitality setting. Overall 10/10!
