Mama House Roma

This advertises itself as a 4 star hotel on google. It's not. It was a room inside an apartment. The check in process was fully remote. If I knew that I would've booked elsewhere.

Great Location and an awesome place to book if you plan on getting there early and don't mind your place not turned over. We just whatsapp'd out host and they let us in. Great little back porch to sit in. Shower is spacious and has a nice flow/attachment. Cleaned our rooms out and gave us new juice boxes each day. Shower didn't drain very well, toilet seat was very loose. We booked on short notice so once we got there we were unsure where to go, likely this was partially due to the late booking as we did not receive an email to give us check in instructions in time. Likely if you get there at their normal checkin time you won't run into this problem. Alternatively it's in stairwell C, just Whatsapp the host and she'll let you in

The highlight of Mama House was how continently located it was to restaurants, bars, cafes and main attractions. The apartment was stocked with basic necessities and had a mini fridge, complimentary snacks, air conditioning, balcony and TV. The bed was comfortable and there was a wardrobe to unpack and hang your clothing. The courtyard was beautiful and the host was great with clearly communicating instructions to access the space upon arrival. This apartment was good for a short stay (3 nights max). A few things that we noted about this apartment was that there was mold on the ceiling in the shower. We had also booked the room because it advertised a balcony; however, upon arrival the balcony was dirty, had no natural light and an odd smell (also like mold). We did not end up using the balcony at all. Lastly, while this was completely out of the control of the host, the upstairs neighbours made excessive amounts of noise between the hours of 10:00-11:30 pm every night we were there. It sounded like furniture moving, stomping or a child running around.

It was very easy check in and no problems to come early to put in the bags before check in. Super lena and tidy. The room had a nice terrass also.

Very noisy fridge, told the host, and that's was a given, so I plugged it off and didn't use the fridge in my stay. The bad was comfortable, and the room was clean enough.

the location was good. everything was very clean and pretty, bed was nice, big clean bathroom. everything super nice. the lights under the step turn on every single time any movement happended inside the room, the light turned on even when we were in bed and because of that U couldnt sleep well. Also, I really didn't like that someone got inside the room to re-fill the breakfast basket without any previous notice or consent. I would rather prefered to be noticed first and let me decide if I wanted to have the bastket fill.. which was non-sense because they only refilled water and juice but didnt make the bed or clean.. so I think it was not really neccesary to disrupt my intimicy for that motive, that situation made me feel very uncomfortable.. you can just leave a refill basket outside.

Wonderful location, with very comfortable and private rooms. The staff are excellent and make your stay very easy.

The room was cute and the bathroom was a nice design. The neighborhood is super fun with lots of bakeries and bars.The host was nice and let us leave our bags before check in. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors very clearly. We were awakened many times by loud guests coming in late at night. Also, the building and the rooms smell strongly of must. There was black mold in the bathroom on the walls and ceiling.

We loved the location, AC, check in and check out went smoothly I never leave bad reviews… No extra pillows, hallway connecting to rooms smelled like cigarettes, dark room, a floor light kept going on and off all night, when we asked the staff if they could help fix it so we could sleep at night, they responded they couldn’t help.
