Location was a bit close to Vatican City but not that close. There are several other nice hotels if you want to stay close to Vatican. Very congested and uneven walking alleys in the hotel. Smelly walking ways inside the hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are not clean at all. Breakfast is very limited. They boast about the roof bar but it’s very normal. Staff not attentive at all. No pickup or drop service.

The rooftop was amazing and so was the breakfast It’s a bit dated and we stayed in one of the older rooms

We had a very pleasant stay at Atlante Star Hotel. Check-in was smooth, the staff were friendly, and everything throughout our stay went without any issues. One of the biggest highlights was the rooftop terrace and the breakfast restaurant, both offering magnificent views of the Vatican. It was a great way to start and end each day. The location is excellent—only about a 5-minute walk to St. Peter's Square, with many other attractions within walking distance. There are bus stops nearby, and the nearest metro station is around a 12-minute walk away, making it easy to get around Rome. The room was a bit small, but since we only used it for sleeping, it wasn't a problem for us. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable throughout our stay. Housekeeping cleaned the room every day, even on days when we hadn't specifically requested it, which we appreciated. Breakfast offered the same selection each morning, but there was enough variety that we could choose something different every day and never got bored. Overall, a very good hotel in an excellent location. We'd definitely consider staying here again. nothing in particular.

Great view, great location, funny staff. There was an issue with booking.com not informing them about the room in time and still the staff resolved the issue as far as they could. Helped with parking and getting us situated. Breakfast was also premium with good views (roof and indoors) The parking spot got booted randomly as a bus came in. Got woken up in the middle of the day to move the car. Just felt a bit messy and if I were not in the hotel room at that moment, I'm not really sure what they would have done. But ah well, given the luck of a parking spot in the first day, I did not mind it overall.

The location is excellent and staff were very helpful

Location and rooftop terrace I payed over 600 euros for a room for 2 nights and got a tiny ugly room with no view, as my friends payed 450 for the same two nights and one got an apartment and the ither a nice room with street view

The rooms, however, were very old and outdated. The decor felt quite dated and lacked character, making the rooms less appealing than the rest of the property. That said, the incredible terrace, stunning views, and excellent location more than made up for the shortcomings of the rooms. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and found the experience worthwhile because of these unique features. The rooms are in urgent need of renovation and modernization. While the location and terrace are exceptional, the guest rooms would greatly benefit from a complete refurbishment.

Wonderful hotel, very good service, and an incredible view of the Vatican. Highly recommended.

Loved the location and rooftop bar ! Staff were also fantastic. I did not love the ultra small rooms , the bathroom was super small, the elevator was very slow, there was no pool, and it was extremely pricy. If the cost was 1/3 less than great value but for what I paid, disappointed.

The bathrooms were a little dated

Location was good. Staff was pleasant. View was great. Breakfast was nice with a beautiful view. Restaurant and bar staff were great. I booked because of the roof top bar. I’m usually pretty good about remembering to reserve for dinner when in Europe but I don’t always for apertivi when it is at the hotel I’m staying at. Anyhow forgot to book. (my bad) They were full up on all the nights we were there. They can get you into second tier seating without a reservation but not quite the wow factor of the rooftop bar. I could have stayed in a less expensive hotel and made a reservation for the rooftop bar separately. The room was run down. The tub was awkward and aged. The poor elevator could not keep up with demand - so be prepared to use the stairs. Lots of details slightly missed. Contents of mini bar did not match the price chart - little stuff but not what was expected for the price. Cleaning chemicals were strong smelling.

View was great. I looked out upon the street. Shower water on the floor.

The neighborhood, location, view from the balcony

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was exceptionally clean, which made the stay very relaxing. One drawback is the location. It is a bit far from Rome’s main attractions, and walking to the Colosseum is not practical. However, the hotel is very close to the Vatican, which is a great advantage if you plan to visit that area. The breakfast could be improved, as there were limited hot food options, and the scrambled eggs were often watery and cold. That said, the view during breakfast was spectacular and made the experience more enjoyable.

Noisy: You can hear the cleaning services every morning trying to do their work. You can hear people having sex on the next room.

The roof top and restaurant views were amazing. The room was on the first floor and views out the windows were completely blocked by machinery, no view at all. No toilet paper holder, roll on the floor. No soap dish and a toilet that flushed non stop, never stopped running. The door locked with a key and the lock would stick making it difficult both to exit and enter the room. We had a reservation for 3 nights but checked out early after one rough night, sacrificed two nights prepaid and went to another hotel.

    Good with a great view
