Good and kind staff, clean and comfortable room.

Booking allowed us to mention arrival time at nighttime, and we booked + day since we were arriving at night. However, on the arrival day I was informed that the property working hours are until 20:00 and we can't ask neither for refund nor for accommodation. In fact, we had additional expenses for taxi and other hotel for 1 night stay. Please consider working hours while booking.

The location was great, a quiet, safe area. We had a bit of trouble finding the property. They gave us a free bottle of wine for our anniversary. We checked in and they said we needed to pay the City Tax in cash of 70 Euros. We were only provided a hand written receipt. We were shown our room and told that if we used the bar fridge we would need to mark down and pay in cash. We asked if we could put our own water and beer in the fridge to drink and she said yes. After a few minutes we noticed a strong sewer type smell. We couldn’t find the desk attendant anywhere. We didn’t get any sleep because of the smell. The next day i found the cleaner and she put something in the drains. Then later the attendant put something else in the drains. She said they were full and couldn’t move us to another room. The next couple of days were okay even though we could still smell it at times. Yesterday we arrived back to our room after being on a tour and there was a strong bleach smell in the room. I got a headache at once. After the bleach smell cleared in a few hours the other sewer smell was still there. Also there was a note saying to leave the City Tax payment in the room upon checkout. We already paid the tax at checkin! There was another note saying we needed to pay for two beer from the bar fridge but we never drank any of their beer. We had some empty beer bottles in the room but they were ones we purchased downstairs at Coffee Time.

Domus Romantica was a fantastic find—clean, cozy, and perfectly located near Termini and public transport. The room was comfortable and quiet, ideal for relaxing after a day in Rome. The staff was extremely responsive, friendly, and communicative—always ready to help with anything. Great value, smooth check-in, fast Wi-Fi, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend! ????

Location was very near local cafes and restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet away from the hustle and bustle, but within 15-20 minutes walking distance from major sites. Hot water available for showers. The stiffness of the mattresses would be my only complaint.
