Hotel Donna Francesca

Broken elevator and unreliable AC significantly impacted our stay. Climbing 110 steps up in 100° heat was exhausting, and the AC in Room 3 never worked properly. We appreciated the apology, but these issues lasted our entire stay.

Lovely room in a lovely building. Clean, quiet and cool. Staff was so kind and let us check in super early! So helpful and much appreciated.

Very nice. Returned for a second visit. Great breakfast. Room for 5- 2 adults and 3 teens. Liked the location- Quiet street, close to the metro. Nothing to report.

Great location close to train station and convenient bus line steps from entrance. Breakfast is delivered to room 8-10am each morning. Tea and snacks provided. Area felt safe and rooms were clean. Bathrooms felt new. Water/snacks provided in mini fridge for small charge. Rooms cleaned daily. Not necessarily a negative but just to be aware- the front desk is only staffed when guests are checking in/out. But there is a WhatsApp number to text for assistance. Couch/chair coverings were a bit stained and could be replaced.

I liked everything about the hotel. It was very quiet and comfortable. And the porter was excellent.

Amazing stay. Great decor, historic building, and wonderful breakfast and soaps/scents. Easy check in. And the hosts were gracious enough to upgrade us. Will certainly be coming back.

I was a little concerned about the main front doors remaining open all the time....but with the Diplomatic Repubblica/Army quarters across the street, we felt very safe.

Easy to get in and out. Minutes from the bus line.

Extremely clean. The staff was very kind, and the whole experience was definitely one where I would go back. It was very comfy, safe, and clean. The location of the hotel is very nice. It’s the perfect distance from some of the attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel. The morning breakfast to the room was also a great start to the day!

There was enough space, it was clean, breakfast was brought into room, very swift check-in. Nothing.

Overall an okay stay. The location worked well for sightseeing, with lots of cafés and restaurants just steps away. Our room had beautiful ceiling frescoes that gave it real character, and it was kept tidy throughout. The included room-service breakfast was the highlight—prompt, convenient, and a great start to the day. We booked the “Family Suite” for four with four beds, but found one standard bed, a sofa converted to a bed, and a portable rollaway. Once the extra bedding was set up, the space felt much smaller and a bit crowded—and pricey.
