Room 14

The bed and pillow were the closest thing to medieval torture I have tried.

.My fiancée and I had an absolutely perfect stay at Room 14 and were honestly surprised to see any mixed feedback in other reviews. Our experience was flawless from start to finish, and we believe this place is a true gem for anyone visiting Rome. We found the location to be ideal. While not in the chaotic tourist center, the property is situated in the lovely, authentic Nomentano neighborhood, which gave us a real taste of local life. It was just a short walk to the metro, making it incredibly easy and fast to get to all the major sights like the Colosseum or the Vatican. This convenience was matched by the seamless check-in process. We arrived in Rome early in the morning, and the clear instructions and flexible check-in hours allowed us to access the room without any stress, letting us settle in and start our adventure right away. The outstanding experience was largely thanks to the host. From the moment we booked, their communication was exceptional—prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful. It's clear they care a great deal about their guests, and this is reflected in the immaculate condition of the room. We were so impressed with the cleanliness; everything from the bathroom to the linens was spotless, which made our stay feel comfortable and safe. Honestly, we can't recommend Room 14 enough. If you are looking for a clean, convenient, and welcoming place to stay with fantastic hosts, look no further. We would happily stay here again on our next visit to Rome. Nothing to dislike.

Location was great, in a residential area so was really able to see the non touristy places, it was a short 20 minute ride to the center. The room was tidy and had all the basics. The bathroom was ok, the shower not so comfortable with it being so small and the flimsy curtain but it did the job!

Instructions on how to access was not clear until I arrived

The floor need polishing, dirty walls, uncomfortable bed and pillows. No kettle or cups or spoons in the room or anywhere in the place. I don't recommend this place.

Location and price perfect

Very nice room and very good location. A nice neighborhood with supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants nearby. The metro station was in a close distance as well. Our host and the room staff were really polite and quick to respond at any time.

We booked it to spend the night before a bus trip, it is very close to the bus station. The room was nice, very comfortable. There were coffee machine and capsules. It is not a problem, but the elevator is very old, nothing important

The location is pristince. Nice places around. The beds were comfortable. The cleaning is well done, everything gets replaced in both towels and coffee The bathroom door couldn't be properly closed. this might be a security concern so maybe not even a problem

Great area with restaurants, and metro station just a few steps away. Prices in shops/restaurants/bars are much lower than in the centre. Air conditioning in a room was a bless. No kettle on site, but there is a bar opposite the accommodation with normal prices (delicious coffee latte for €1,30 and croissants for €1). Cleaning service every day. Nice and polite owners. - Very hard mattress, wasn’t good for my back. - Noisy toilet. - Loud during the night, even with closed windows. - Under shower had to wait for warm water for few minutes to run. - Some of the guests are having problem with reading and understanding, and not closing the lift doors. Two times I had to use stairs and go up to 6th floor because someone block the lift by NOT closing the door. Obviously it’s not a householder fault, but be aware that room is on 6th floor and there is a possibility that lift will not be available.

The owner/manager was very welcoming, reliable and helpful. He gave us great recommendations and information about the city. The room was really clean and had a decent amount of amenities. Nothing I can complain of.

The receptionist was responsive and quick. Drinking Water should be provided and coffee/ water warming kittle should be usable.
