This hotel was recommended to me by a friend but they were redoing the rooms and no one mentioned that when we booked it. The constant noise and vibrations from the workers was horrible. When we arrived we found out that there was some work done. They told us that it was on the above floors so we will not noticed. The work was above and in our floor so we were walked up by the noise and had to pass by the construction. You would expect some kind of discount for the inconvenience but that was not the case. I will not recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed being offered a cold water/ bubbly upon arrival. Pool was nice. I for taint we were there during construction, but not terrible noise. I would’ve liked a small refrigerator in the room.

The location was excellent. We were so close to everything and within walking distance to great restaurants. We were so intrigued by the amazing art collection throughout the entire hotel almost everything was for sale. Quite the collection! A must for art lovers loved. We enjoyed our evening cocktails with the bartenders and got so much info and history about the Kessler connection it was fascinating. When checking in the desk recognized that we had been with Bonvoy for many years. With that acknowledgement we usually get just a little extra special treatment for our loyalty. We were assigned a room right next to the gym, and it was tiny. Originally, we booked a king size room but were put in what I thought was a less than desirable room with a double bed. The staff did rectify this, and we were moved to a room with King size bed. So, in the end it was all good. Front desk staff could benefit from better training to recognize and reward longtime customers.

The location could not be better. Loved the old Spanish vibe of the hotel. The pool was beautiful and just the thing to cool off after a hot morning touring around. Loved the fruit infused water in the lobby, did not have a chance to try the bar or restaurant but they looked nice. The room was nice, if not super spacious, and overlooked the pool. The renovations that were being done weren’t too intrusive, but it did take away a little from the ambience as the elevator was all covered in cardboard to keep it from being damaged. Our room had a faint mildew smell or something we couldn’t quite put our finger on. It was very noticeable upon coming in from the hallway. A mini fridge would’ve been nice as having cold water handy is so important on these hot days. We are so used to having them in most hotel rooms, we were surprised that there wasn’t one.

It was a little musky smelling due to the ongoing construction during our stay.

Our bathroom didn’t work and neither did the shower. No water!!! Spa was amazing though.

Location is right in the heart of town and close to everything. The historic aspects of the hotel and the Moorish design is fabulous. However, guest rooms felt a bit tired and in need of an upgrade. Staff is great and amenities like the restaurant, gym, and valet were also great. I recommend giving this hotel a try.

They decide to do renovations and shut off the water in the hotel between 11 o’clock at night and six in the morning without informing us until two hours before and we were sightseeing at the time. I was very disappointed in a hotel of this caliber

Staff was exceptional, especially Cassie at the front desk. Housekeeping was amazing providing extra towels when we showed up drenched from the rain.

Location is great. Room is decent if a little tired. We met a very nice bartender. Reception was cold. More interested in making sure that they charged for everything than welcoming their guest. The hotel is old and tired. We were told on check in "oh BTW you will have no water supply from 11pm to 6am due to maintenance". No concession on price for that and the water didn't restart until 6.50am.

Great location and super friendly staff. Very accommodating to our requests. They are experiencing some minor improvements but we get that it has to be done to keep the gem in top shape.
