Spark by Hilton St. Augustine Historic District

Great location, within walking distance of the main tourist attractions. The hotel was clean and very comfortable beds.

The room was clean, staff at check in as very friendly and the air conditioning in the room was GREAT! Parking was a bit limited and the pool was quite small. It was also very warm but with the size of it and the location being in the direct sun for most of the afternoon I guess that should be expected in Florida. The continental breakfast was okay but the two items that they offered as "hot" (eggs and sausage) could have been a bit more hot. This is a great hotel to stay at if you are just wanting a cool, clean room to rest your head at night.

I enjoyed the property very much. The location is perfect for walking around the town and having some drinks. There are so many places to eat and shop and the pool was very refreshing after a hot day.

Central Location of this hotel to both downtown and uptown St Augustine was very good. Staff at the Front desk were very pleasant to deal with. Cleanliness of the hotel and the room we were in was very good. However, the pool and Spa area did not seem to be up to par. One other issue was that the Elevator was intermittently not working. Walked down 4 flights to let the front desk know. They were not aware but took immediate action to attempt to reset the elevator. It didn’t initially reset, but within 10 minutes they were able to correct the problem. The single most negative surprise was discovering upon arrival that there was a $25.00 (plus tax) overnight parking fee. I do feel that should have been disclosed when booking through Expedia. It was basically an $80.00 increase over the 3 nights. In fairness, some of these things were out of staff control but they did resolve the issue. If it were not for the parking fee surprise not being disclosed at booking we would have known and decided then whether to book there or not. If it was fully disclosed up front I would have likely rated it higher. As to the hotel itself if the parking fee issue hadn’t happened we would have very likely book it again.

This was our first time at the Spark by Hilton Hotel. The staff were very friendly and assisted me with whatever questions I had. The location of the hotel was prime for downtown Saint Augustine. It is across the street and slightly north of the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum. The room was very clean and well n from maintained, with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hairdryer. I will say that the beds themselves were not that comfortable. I would’ve expected a better quality mattress from a Hilton brand hotel. As far as the room, there was a mini fridge, but no microwave or coffee maker in the room. Fortunately downstairs there was free, coffee and hot tea all day long for anyone staying at the hotel. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and will most likely book there again when staying in Saint Augustine.
