Hotel Almadies

The people were lovely, the facilities were excellent and the location was great.

Its a hotel but feels like you are staying in someone's home. The room was thoughtfully appointed and very comfortable. Since its located in the part of town that is all walking streets its very quiet there at night. Only a 5 minute walk from the train station, you can cut through Les Halles to get there. The owners are a couple, he is French and she is from the US so if you don't speak French you will be able to easily communicate with them. She gave me a great suggestion for a day trip down to Irun which was really fun.

Hotel Les Almadies is a wonderful little oasis in the middle of St-Jean-de-Luz. Although it is on a pedestrian street, our room was very quiet and comfortable. Hosts Jennifer and Mathieu, and host dog, Sunny, were welcoming and friendly and provided lots of information as to what we should see and restaurants that might be of interest. We will definitely visit Hotel Les Almadies again! Everything was outstanding!

The location above stores on the main pedestrian street was perfect to access everything in town. The room was very clean and comfortable. Owner Jennifer was so nice and helpful with how to do anything we needed. The breakfast room was cozy and comfortable. So long as you can do stairs, no problem, but the adorable property doesn’t have an elevator.

Everything was so well thought out, very comfortable relaxing and the staff were quiet and kind, no hovering or intrusion but in the background available to help. They enabled an early checkin at no cost, lent beach towels in basket. And answered our travel questions we had around our onward journey. Super central. Easy walk from train station. A really great stay. Super clean too. We loved the bath. It was pretty perfect. We will happily return one day I hope.

A small family run hotel in the heart of the main pedestrian area. Received a warm welcome from Jennifer and Mattieu on arrival and they were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Comfortable good sized room with a comfortable bed and decent bath/shower. Complimentary coffee/ teas in room with local savoury snack and chocs. Mini bar stocked with soft drinks and beer at a reasonable price. Breakfast of local Pay Basque produce delicious - noted crockery also local made - a nice touch. Lots of fab restaurants and shops on the doorstep . Dog friendly . A lovely stay. Parking a walk away ( got lost trying to find arrival parking drop off place) Stairs could be challenging for those with mobility problems.

The hotel was in the center of the town, so very easy acces to the beach, shops …..

The hosts are lovely and very helpful. The room is clean and comfortable and was cleaned during our stay. There is coffee in the room. The location is central and you can walk to everything.
