The hosts were very friendly and professional

Isabella was so incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a beautiful view of the ocean from my room. Such a cozy and quaint spot to stay!

The hotel is in a beautiful location with incredible water views, which was a real highlight. The initial staff members we met were also quite friendly and were very helpful in getting our luggage to the room. The manager gave us a smaller room than what we had booked and paid for, and then was shockingly rude and unapologetic when we pointed out the error. We were still charged the full price for the larger room we never received, and the manager made no effort to resolve his "bait and switch."

Super friendly owners and staff!

Excellent family-run hotel in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, very close to the beach and the main tourist attractions, but in a very quiet residential area. Friendly and helpful staff. Our room for 3 people was very big and spotlessly clean, and had nice seaside views. Now celebrating their 90th anniversary, this hotel is a gem. We have been staying at Les Goelands whenever we have stopped/spent our holidays in Saint-Jean-de-Luz in the last 10 years and would not consider going anywhere else.

Charming room with a view of the sea , quiet location but close to the shops and restaurants . Easy parking in the driveway.

Lovely old hotel. Fantastic location. Located up on top of the hill from town. Walk uphill from town is about 15 mins and to town about 5-7 mins downhill. You can walk to beach down steps to the middle of the promenade. We had the family room which was spacious enough - one room with a double and one with a twin. Quite a quirky hotel with very old furniture but had shutters to block out the light and double glazing. Super quiet. Nice owners. Very friendly staff. They recommended a fish place for dinner in Ciboure which was excellent. Fresh plants at entrance to hotel and in case in reception added a pleasant touch. The shutters in the kids room didn’t shut properly and was flapping about at night making loud noises. Beds were uncomfortable - soft and went down in the middle the mattress needs to be changed. Breakfast was 10 Euros for adults and 7 for children. Not worth it to be honest. No cheeses or cold cuts. Farm fresh juices and small amounts of bread though - think the selection on offer could have been better. Very old furniture and room decor Creaky doors.

Staff Pictures overpromise. The hotel is old and rather worn down.

Wonderful location.

Our room had a terrace which we used. The hotel offers a fixed dinner menu 5 nights/week. We enjoyed the dinners we ate there. Wine is reasonably priced. The decor of the house we were in (the annexe) wasn't to our taste. The breakfast was disappointing. It was served in the annexe and wasn't very appetising. The hotel is a significant uphill walk back from the beach and town.

Good location, quiet but close to town centre Fire door opened directly on to stairs downwards - seems like a trip/fall risk Messages to reserve parking not acknowledged
