Location During our stay the ceiling in our room started to leak. Fortunately happened on the last day. The hotel staff were very nice and helped accommodating us.

Centrally located. Excellently renovated. Quiet. Clean. Many practical amenities. A very helpful innkeeper.

We had a lovely couple of nights at the Anne de Bretagne. It's in a fantastic location and the decor in our room was fabulous. There is also a man who works at reception who spoke excellent English, having previously worked in America, who was really helpful and so efficient. And also extremely nice! A credit to the hotel. There is a pasta restaurant in the hotel - Pasta Mia. The food is lovely but the staff are incredibly rude. The waiter took got my order wrong, which I would blame on my pitiful French, but I actually pointed to what I wanted on the menu. When the food came and I said (very politely) that it wasn't what I ordered, the waiter initially said that they didn't have any of what I did order left, and then changed his mind and claimed I had never ordered it, and when he eventually agreed to change what I'd been given to what I'd ordered, he was incredibly aggressive and when the (right) food eventually came he slammed the plate down so hard I thought it might break. We also weren't the only table he argued with. One to avoid!

The hotel is perfectly located in the intra muros (but this comes with noise). The tv in the room is excellent with a great choice of channels and chrome cast. I would not re book this hotel. We had several issues during out stay in this hotel, none of which were addressed by the staff, who seems entirely unbothered. The room itself smelled of mould or damp (a common complaints in the comments). The air con was stuck on a "heat setting" which meant we had to sleep with the windows open every night, on a loud street. The pool itself is a nice addition but there is no towels or water or even a clock down in the pool and you have to book in advance (you are not told this by the hotel in advance). We were given one towel in our room, and as there is no phones in the room we had to go down and ask for extra towels (no apology). The worst part was, the shower was stone cold. when we raised this with staff they said they'd have a look, again no apology. We came back to the hotel later to be told there was nothing wrong with the shower. Again, it was cold the next morning. A cold shower is a completely unacceptable thing for a hotel and should be remedied. Instead, the hotel just fobbed us off. Upon check out, you would usually be asked how was your stay, the staff did not bother to ask this but we informed them of the aboce. As it happens all of the above appears to be raised in prior comments here. So it is surprising that the staff looked surprised when I raised the issues. Again, no apology. Having stayed in many hotels in Brittany, I have found staff to really care about customer experience. We unfortunately experienced the total opposite here. Finally, I left a tshirt in the hotel and have received several whatsapps, emails and texts from a different hotel in Saint Malo looking for €35 to post a tshirt to Ireland for return. I have no ideal how another hotel has my data. This is just illustrative how unseriously the hotel takes its customer service.

The location was perfect! It’s in the quieter part of the interiors but still in the middle of it all. The staff were very friendly and attentive, especially Justin. My room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. I was on the fifth floor with a nice view of the old town. I extended my stay a night since I was so comfortable and wanted to see more of St Malo. I highly recommend the hotel. I didn’t like the hair dryer lol. I hate having to press the button while I’m blow drying my hair, it’s tiring. And the extension cord needs to be a little longer and less tight.

Always excellent

Nice hotel in a good location close to everything . Quite expensive, but everywhere is overpriced in St Malo. Lovely place to visit though

Location

Newer building with lift and modern interior styling in rooms. Great location. Be aware that guests need to park outside the city walls and walk with their baggage to the hotel.
-
Comfortable room, great staff, swimming pool It was very loud during the night. Some people were shouting and screaming loudly from the nearby restaurant. It’s not the issue of the hotel but made our sleep uncomfortable even with the closed windows.

The location was perfect, it’s a short walk to pretty much everything. Breakfast was good. The room was good also, confortable and clean! We found parking out of the intramuros 5 min walk. The pool 10/10 but you need to reserve in advance! Sadly, the elevator wasnt working that much but that isnt their fault.

The funky distressed look concrete ceiling, and odd concrete wall took a little bit if getting used to, but I liked them by the end of our stay

Loved the room, amenities, bathroom, decor. I liked everything. If I stay there again, I would prefer a higher up floor.

The location is inside the wall so you are near everything you would to do and see. Staff was very friendly and the place is very clean and up to date. There is NO parking inside the wall. I got the last parking spot in lot 7 ( outside the wall). Only lot 7 and 8 are reasonably close. There is no shuttle to get luggage to hotel so be prepared to hump bags a ways on cobblestone streets in the weather if you have a car. Also the room size is pretty small. There was really not enough room to open up and lay down the suitcases. Also the AC was not working so had to open windows to cool down the room.
