Hôtel de l'Univers

Excellent proximity to the beach and steps up to the ramparts. Lots of cigarette smoke from outside wafted into the hotel from outside, and possibly from the room across from me. As a non-smoker it was really noticeable. Not bad enough that I wouldn’t stay there again because the location was fantastic, just something to be aware of.

Professional staff, nice restaurant. Would come here again.

Excellent location, room and breakfast

Location

The location is excellent, just inside the ramparts and with available parking onsite. It's a large, comfortable hotel with a good cafe and many terrific restaurants nearby. We caught a terrific sunset over the ocean pool. We have no complaints. We didn't have breakfast, but it looked good.

Good location Booked a comfort double which should have included a private bathroom with bath tub but given room 110 which just had a shower No kettle or tea/coffee facilities No lavatory paper, just tissues from dispenser No staff at breakfast so didn’t realise it was self service

Old furniture, small room, and no fridge. Impossible to park nearby. Too expensive for what it offers.

A beautiful period hotel in a gorgeous area. The hotel lacked some modern amenities, this was expected in a building of this age.

Great location

No air conditioning and very noisy outside at all hours with people and seagulls if you have to open the windows to try to cool down the room. We were here for two days and slept poorly both nights.

Breakfast not worth it.

It was clean and comfortable. And a good lift to all floors No kettle in the room. Bath towels to small.

Well located. Installations are clean. The price a bit high for what it is.
