Hôtel Ibis Budget Saint Malo Centre

Good value for money in Saint Malo. No frills but all the basics done right. Close to the train station and a short walk away from the old town. -

Only one pillow and small thin towels

The hotel was well located near a bus stop and within 20 minutes walk of the train station, ferry terminal and Saint Servan. I also liked the breakfast buffet. My only complaint was the poor lighting for reading in bed.

Located just a few minutes' drive from the St Malo ferry terminal, The Ibis is highly convenient for anyoine travelling via St Malo to, or from, the UK. The walled city, with its sights and selection of shops, restaurants and bars is a 25-minute walk away, and the pleasant seafront at St Servan is a similar distance. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

Everything was great for a budget stay

Room was decent and location is good for me being close to the ferry terminal I had to move my booking and I wasn't aware that I had to pay again. I was shown by a member of staff how to make my booking with a small charge which would have allowed me to change my booking date with no extra cost. I thought that I as a regular user of this hotel would have been able to change the date of my booking.

The guy at the breakfast I think he had a little attitude because I asked for some water late at night and he was not really happy to see me or smiling

Staff were polite although their English was limited. My baggage was stored until I was able to check in, which was handy as i arrived early from a morning ferry crossing. Good amount of charging sockets in the room and points to charge your phone and devices. Very nice large shower and a good size room for a budget stay. The hotel was in quite a remote area, It would have been nice to have a complimentary coffee in the lobby or the option to make a hot drink in the room. I'm picking at straws here but it was my birthday on arrival and nobody said Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas although I said Joyeux noel to them !. Just as a comparison Britany Ferries and the restaurant, where I had dinner, whished me both ,several times.

Good basic room. Secure parking, great staff and location Breakfast. I'm not a big fan of continental breakfast. I would like the option of a English breakfast.

Ideal location, pleasant staff. Clean. Everything we expected for the price. Good value

Good location I didn't receive my breakfast on .the day of my departure. Also, there is no restaurant nearby. I had to walk half an hour to find a Dolminos . Not great. Also, it's not easy to find.

This was a typical budget Ibis, the room pretty small. But the bathroom and shower were spacious, a bonus. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast offered diverse and abundant Continental Breakfast options.

The location was not bad cuz near a bus station The rooms were too small and no good aeration.

The receptionist was very accommodating and helpful. The room is typical for Ibis Budget: minimalist but functional. Luckily, we've got a larger room, with sofa. Clean and tidy. The place is at (long) walking distance from Intra Muros. The bathroom is large enough and very clean. The parking place has a low capacity and it was completely full (even the place for check-in / check/out cars), despite the fact the hotel has also a lateral parking lot, "staff only", which was practically empty. I couldn't find any free parking place in public areas but about 400 m away from the hotel. We had no meal plan at the hotel and no restaurants around, but was to be expected considering the price we paid for the room.
