Beautiful gracious old home from 18th C in the old centre of St Malo [ not the walled city ]. Very grand with a lovely garden and beautifully restored in side. Really lovely breakfast included. Only a short drive to the ferry [ to Jersey ] & walled city of St Malo. A number of restaurants 5 minutes away down on the waterfront. Typical for this style of accomodation - no elevator - grand staircase to haul suitcases up

Beautiful old building. Fantastic location. Free parking on site. Easy to walk to the sea at Solidor with beach and a selection of bars and restaurants. 25 minutes walk to the walled town or easy to catch number 8 bus from Solidor or St Servan. Very convenient for ferry to Portsmouth. Bath very slippy - needs a mat and handles. Difficult to shower because of this and shower head did not attach to wall. No lift.

Location, secure parking, breakfast, comfortable bed and friendly staff. Lady who checked us in gave us great recommendations for food. Period property which made a change from corporate hotels. Will stay again if travelling from St Malo as only 5 mins away. Hand held shower in bath but it didn’t detract from the enjoyment of our stay would just be more convenient.

Location to beach, restaurants. Parking availability. Spacious rooms with character. Staff accommodating to specific request for storage of luggage. Not a lot of choice for breakfast.

The only advantage is the location I do not recommend it. The only advantage is the location, I would give it 8 points. Everything else I rate 5 points. The rooms were dirty, there were moths, and hair on the bedding. We traveled as a group of four. Upon arrival, we told the administrator that only three of us would have breakfast. He wrote it down, but we still had to pay for 4 people. We reserved the rooms on Booking for one price, but the next day when it came time to pay, we were asked for an extra €20. When we asked why, they replied that they had called us and offered better rooms. However, no one had called and nothing had been offered. Be careful.

Excellent service. Quietly located.

Excellent breakfast at charming old mansion. No elevator.

The property is clean and well maintained. The gardens are lovely and so are the various vignettes throughout the hotel for a leisurely walk or to read a book. Nothing.

The key to the room is finicky to operate but it is vintage lock,,,, and the ten pounds key fob is burdensome to carry around... LOL

We loved the location of the hotel. We’ve been to St Malo several times and always stayed in Intra Muros but we fancied staying in a quieter location and this was perfect. The hotel has bags of character and the gardens are beautiful. We really liked the breakfast and the breakfast room is very grand. The decor in our double room was a little tired in places but this is an observation rather than a criticism.

Our stay was very brief just needing a room prior to ferry early AM . An impressive period house in wonderful surroundings. Great for vehicle security through electronic gates . A little tricky to find .

Safe parking for the car. Good Breakfast Room allocation would be useful while booking and not an ad hoc selection of rooms on arrival.

We loved its location and grandeur. An elegant house with secure private parking and a lovely garden. Huge bedroom and a good breakfast. Nothing that we didn’t like, but no shower in the bathroom and the bed was a tad hard.

A comfortable stay in a historic mansion. The staff have been very welcoming and made us feel at home even with a late check in . A great breakfast served in a grandiose room. It is well located if arriving from the port and has a secured parking area. Nothing- Wished we had more time to enjoy the garden .
