The breakfast was very good We lost an hour upon arrival because our room was already taken and the manager was unavailable. There was no private parking. The heat in the attic room was unbearable. It was difficult to take a shower in the bathtub without a curtain without getting water everywhere."

We stay in room number 4 located in the attic which has no air conditioning…it was 35C in the daytime…unable to sleep.

Comfortable beds. Charming interior decor. Not big but beautiful garden. Friendly host that knows the area well. Good breakfast. Minor: would be nicer if ventilation fan is available in washroom.

Charming old mansion with patina, nice garden, very quiet. Broken shower, no elevator ( my fault, we’re seniors ) so lugging luggage upstairs is a burden. Flimsy pillows, however, a couple of nights it was fine.

The place was amazing, super well maintained and exceeded expectations. I would 100 percent recommend this place again. Didn’t see any staff the entirety of the stay so it felt more like an AirBnB than a hotel

Beautiful property very nice old world charm. The breakfast and ambience was great. Everything was very comfortable and roomy. Bathroom, faucets in room 3 were extremely difficult to use and need to be repaired as does the showerhead. Apparently they have been broken for sometime.

Wonderful hostess, very good breakfast! Cool lions in back yard. Stairs, and more stairs, and stairs you had to step down from your bed.

Breakfast was wonderful, including perhaps the best French toast I have ever had. The property and grounds and views from upstairs were wonderful. The house is a particular type of estate home found only in the area around Saint Malo. My son and I rode complementary bikes into town, which was a lot of fun. There was no door to the bathroom, which we found a bit odd. Also, there was noone there to receive us or provide us with a key when we arrived at around 9 PM; nobody answered the property phone number. The only reason we were able to get in was that we happened to come across two other property guests, who showed us to where our key had been left.

Amazing old building decorated with a great love and attention to details. Very good breakfast and convenient location for trips to Saint-Malo, Cancale and Mont-Saint-Michael.

The property is fabulous and I would score this very highly but, it is lacking in safety for its guests I am a retired Fire officer. There was no evidence of:- A, a fire alarm system to warn the residents to evacuated the building B, There was no Emergency lighting (this could be sympathetically built to suit thee decor) C, There was no Fire protection to the staircase, we stayed in room 4, had the staircase become compromised for instance by a fire in the kitchen we would have no method of evacuation 5 The final exit doors should be available from the inside without the use of a key (thumb turn).

What a beautiful house and garden! We arrived close to Halloween and were greeted with some suitably creepy additions to the incredible house. Thank you Annette for a lovely stay and your patience with my terrible french! Thank you also a delicious breakfast and for the use of the bikes.

The building and the garden.

We were absolutely amazed by the house and the warm welcome Mathieu has provided. We were provided with bicycles, big fancy kitchen to prepare the dinner and amazing dining room. The garden was very cozy. We had a living room with tv, games and large sofas. We had a delicious breakfast with pastry, eggs and fruits.

Matthew is a very kind guy and very unique decoration with good arrangement in this hotel, and has washing machine and d
