We loved our stay at this beautiful property. The breakfast was delicious with homemade jams, crepes, eggs fruit and yogurt. The room was gorgeous, extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. Highly recommend.

A very pleasant and peaceful place. Close to Denan, yet away from the tourist crowds. The hosts are wonderful, welcoming people who provide a truly personal touch. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, and everything has been thoughtfully designed with great attention to detail. We would be delighted to return.

We loved our stay at La Maffrais. We were treated just like members of the family. The Manor is really a jewel. Very handsome and very comfortable. Lovely grounds and peaceful as well as beautiful. We had pleasant trips into Porte of Dinan (parking is a challenge) and the Historical area for dinners and sight seeing. Breakfasts were pleasant visits with Samantha and other guests. the breakfast meal is perfect. We heartily recommend a stay at La Maffrais. WEv left with very fond memories. Just Fine.

This is a beautifully restored and updated French country home in a peaceful setting just a short drive from Dinan. Great location for day tips to St. Malo, Mont St. Michel and all the sights and beauty of the Emerald Coast. The owner was very cordial and attentive. Lots of little touches. Breakfast choices were abundant and delicious.

It’s a beautiful old estate dating back to at least the 18th century. The interior is beautiful and well maintained. I recommend the breakfasts. Samantha’s is an excellent cook and her crepes are wonderful. It is a great location for people who like to like to follow the ‘road less traveled’. The living room sometimes becomes a gathering place for other guests and it is fun to share each others’ adventures in the region. Also … it has excellent access to the Port du Dinan. An excellent lace to sit by the river and have a glass of wine and dine. We recommend Les Rossognolas for a relaxed environment and in the old town Creperie Ahna. I ordered the chicken and enjoyed the surprise. The pigeons are very opinionated.

Beautiful home in a peaceful spot not far from Dinan. If you want a quiet spot to relax I highly recommend. Hosts are so attentive and kind, the rooms are spacious, bathroom modern and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was a lovely assortment of savory and sweet and we wished we could have eaten more!

La Meffrais 1741 is a stunning place to stay. Very handy for Dinan, Dinard and St Malo and the ferry port. La Hisse is not far either if you fancy a walk beside the river. There’s also parking on their long, cobbled drive. So it’s literally seconds to the door. The owners are very friendly and their “little bit” of English was almost fluent and much more than my little bit of French. They walked round the outside of their home so as not to walk through the room we were sitting while reading, and enjoying a bottle of wine we’d bought from them. Strong but delicious ? We opted to pay for breakfast on our first morning and the choice was outstanding; fruit, cereal, yogurt, cold meats and cheese, eggs, pastries and bread and jam. There’s also a choice of teas and coffee and their home pressed apple juice is so much better than any I’ve ever had before. I’m not normally an apple juice drinker but that was out of this world. This isn’t a complaint, just a warning. Our satnav took us the wrong way. To get to the house follow the road through La Meffrais village until your almost out the other side and you’ll see a big 2 on the wall. Then you’ve found it.

Stunning rural manor home. Beautifully renovated and presented. Lovely modernised rooms and bathrooms. Very comfortable, quiet and lovely outlook. Secure parking on the grounds. Samantha was the perfect host. Very attentive, lovely breakfast. We had a wine in front the fire one evening. Great value. Conveniently located to Dinan -easy 15 minute drive. No negatives.

Location, beautiful building and decoration.

The hosts were so accommodating. The room was warm, very quiet and comfortable. Easy to go from this place to Dinan by car, where the town provided many restaurants. We loved the enormous breakfast. No English channels on the tv but for us it wasn’t important.
-
Beautiful property in a stunning setting with warm and gracious hosts. Full breakfast delicious! Pretty room spotlessly clean. Leave time for a walk around the garden. Wish we could have stayed longer
