Staff are very nice and they give very good briefing about the shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast is good but there can be more variety.

Very good overall. Located in a not touristic and unspoiled neighbourhood. The host, Paola, and all the staff are fabulous. Breakfast is basic but the coffee is excellent (local variety).

Super-friendly hostess and staff who really do their best to make you feel at home. The B&B is nicely situated in a more local area, but still easy walking distance from a market, beach and the more touristic places. I did however had to get used to all the sounds of the surrounding area, but after 1 night you don't even notice that anymore. Also - my room was comfortable and clean, which the most important thing for me. Staying at Sakaroule was like staying at a funny family house. I had the pleasure to meet some nice people, which made the house an even more fun place to stay at!

Close to the city center and a very lovely owner. The windows are without glass, only shades, so if there is noise on the street you will hear it.

Everything else was exactly as we wanted, Staff and owner Paola were lovely and very helpful making the stay very enjoyable. Internet in the room could be better, Trouble getting the toilet flush to refill

Close to everything in a quit street. The people who worked are the kindest! Nothing, but I just wish we had a room further up. When people were talking in the breakfast- area we woke up.

Great host, speaks many languages, very helpful with transport, ideas for activities, and places to eat. Nice little room, good breakfast. Little bit away from beach, not too bad - 10 mins.
-
Super clean, great breakfast, wonderful staff who were so friendly and helpful.

The host and the rest of the staff were incredibly nice. She gave us a detailed map and told us all the places to visit and dishes to eat. The location is great. Not too far, but also not that busy. We felt safe there. The room gets cleaned every day. The breakfast is very big and homemade products. The only “negative” thing I can say is that the breakfast is the same everyday. We like a little bit of variety, but we also cannot complain because the breakfast was very good.
-
The charming friendliness of the host, Paula. The location, only five minutes from the main centre of Santa Maria. The simple, tasteful decor. Nothing I didn’t like, it was perfect for the price.

The stay at Sakaroule was exceptional—great design, a comfortable bed, a minimalist room, but also everything you need. It was very clean, and the room was cleaned daily. Delicious local breakfast accompanied by Cape Verdean music, a lovely staff, and an owner who pours her heart into this place, always offering advice, tips, and engaging conversations. If I visit Sal again, I will definitely choose Sakaroule. More places like this in the world, and you’ll always feel at home.
