B&B Portanova

This property is in a fantastic location, with easy walking access to the train station, ferry, shops, and many excellent restaurants. The beds were comfortable, and the provided breakfast was a wonderful convenience that made our mornings easier. We also enjoyed the terrace, which offered a lovely view overlooking the street below and was a great spot to relax and take in the surroundings.

We loved the location and the deck. Also the beds were very comfortable. It was very quiet even thought it was in a main square. Airconditioning was amazing. We loved the little breakfast room. Host was very communicative and check in was smooth. the stairs and the keys but we were honestly okay with it as most places in Italy have these issues

Location is perfect for exploring Salerno and the region. Space is clean and comfortable. We travelled as a group of nine so having the two suites with the shared kitchen provided privacy for each family as well as shared space to gather. Balcony in Minerva suite was lovely. Lots of stairs which was fine for us but would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Showers did not have enough hot water.

The apartment was close to the middle of Salerno. Everything was nearby. Beds were comfortable. They came late at night to tidy away the breakfast dishes

Great location, comfortable and clean. Lovely sitting on the balcony overlooking the piazza below. Easily accessible to shops, restaurants and train station.

We really liked the location, which was very close to the centrum and all restaurants etc. We actually had a pretty decent stay. Breakfast options i.e. crackers, jams/butters etc. were available, but we preferred to get fresh foods in the nearby streets ourselves. Afterwards, we received a message from the owner (which we hadn't seen during our whole stay) claiming we took ornaments and damaged the room. There were no questions asked, just basically a demand we owe her EUR 1600,00 (!!!) based on an assumption we took snow globes that were put on display in the room and apparently there was a penmark on the room where my son slept. To make it clear: we did not take any snowglobe (who steals that?) and we did not do any damage. But after going backwards and forwards via messaging and threatening to 'report' us, we were absolutely stunned how this was handled. So many things could've been handled completely differently. The cleaners left the rooms mostly open while cleaning, and when upon arrival and got in our room, there was another family of 5 relaxing in our room, perhaps check with your staff properly, make better and/or clearer arrangements before travelers arrive and be more present as the owner yourself before you throw accusations?

Excellent location close to the city centre and beach, rooms are nice spacious with a view from the balcony. I would have rated it a 10 if it weren't for the broken balcony door in the main bedroom which meant you could hear all the noise from outside till late at night.

Fabulous location, very spacious and super clean. The breakfast was self-serve. Would help if described that way so people understand they’re not getting a full breakfast with staff on-site. A couple of extra towels and more soap would be good too.

Location was great. Staff were excellent. Need clear signs on how to get in for the first time. Also the shower area is small and may be a problem for bigger people. I guess its the same for all Rome properties.

The facility is in a great location, close to the train station, to the city centre and the to the seaside boulevard. Room was spacious and clean. To access the room you have to go trough 3 floors of narrows stairs, which is quite inconvenient with luggage since there is no elevator, i think this should be mentioned upfront. It was also quite difficult to access the window of the room for opening it or shutting it for the night, since it was located high in the ceiling and no mean to specifically get to it was provided. Air conditioning was also not working properly and the property manager was not able to fix when asked to see to it. Finally, when we asked to keep luggage at the location for a few hours after checkout (one small size and one mid size luggage) they said they could not do it and we had to find a deposit at the station.

The location was excellent within walking distance to the historic centre & foreshore. Terrace overlooking the piazza was good. The communal kitchen being right next to our entrance sliding door. Other guests making noise at 1.30am in kitchen. No safe, mould on walls, no cushions on outdoor terrace lounge, holes in bath towels, things broken in room, low roof above toilet. Booking.com said I had city taxes included in my fees but yet charged another $2 euro. Stairs to apartment were quite a lot with luggage.

Breakfast was provided - a wide spread of cereals, biscuits, jams and bread. Our apartment had a terrace with a nice view of the city. The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean and spacious.

Location, close to everything air-conditioning not working

Nice apartment in the central touristic zone of Salerno. Clean, spacious and a nice cozy terrace with the view to the Piazza Sedile, with a common kitchen shared with the others guest. The interior is well equipped, the beds are very good, large closets and a big bathroom. When using the kitchen, the lack of sink could be annoying because you must use the sink from the bathroom. The slope of the shower floor was not properly constructed so the water from shower can easily enter the bathroom. The common kitchen could lead to unpleasant situations with other guests. Sharing the refrigerator doesn’t mean to share the products inside. Unfortunately, it happens!
