The location was excellent. The room had a beautiful view, and the property was very close to both the bus stop and the train station, which made it extremely convenient for traveling along the Amalfi Coast or taking the train to wherever you needed to go. I didn’t feel comfortable with the fact that the rooms did not have a secure lock, but rather a simple bedroom-style door lock, which can make you feel quite unsafe. For young travelers, I would not recommend this place unless they are already used to this type of shared living environment with people they do not know. Additionally, guests in the next room complained about noise, but instead of handling it respectfully, they came and banged very aggressively on my door. Even if they were right about the noise (which I personally believe was not excessive, since I was just talking quietly on the phone to my grandma), no one should approach another guest in such a threatening way. In that situation, it is easy to feel unsafe, as you never know who is next door or how they might behave.

Maria and her son are very nice, replying message quickly. We have a very early arrival at 7:30am, they allowed us checking in and taking a rest. Room is big and clean, breakfast is delicious and even prepared before 7am for us leaving , we appreciate.

Casa Maria was awesome! Friendly staff, the breakfast was actually substantial, the rooms clean and comfortable and I slept so good, and the location was really nice too. Thanks casa Maria!

This was my second time staying here in the past week. Maria’s warm hospitality and the beautiful room with a terrace overlooking the port and the old city were the reasons I booked a second stay. My room and bathroom had skylights, so there was plenty of natural light. This was one of the coolest places I've ever stayed -- the view was incredible! There’s nothing I didn’t like!

Maria and Antonio were so warm and welcoming to me! I had a beautiful room with a terrace overlooking the port and the old city. My room and bathroom had skylights, so there was plenty of natural light. This was one of the coolest places I've ever stayed -- the view was incredible! I already booked another night here next week. :D There's nothing I didn't like!

The hosts were very nice, Antonio helped me with valuable info regarding ferries, gave insights about the Amalfi Coast. Also after checkout early in the morning he let me keep my luggage until I got back. The port of Molo Manfredi was like 15 minutes walking which was perfect to take the boat to Amalfi.. The most I liked about the property is the view they had(from the room was amazing but the best view was on the terrace). In first day I ate breakfast prepared by Maria at location and was very good. All in all I recommend this property to start the Amalfi Coast journey. Grazie, Maria and Antonio! I didn't liked that I was sent next day for breakfast to a bar and there was only one croissant and a cappuccino. The employee from there was rude. I didn't liked the lift from accommodation, it was the slowest lift I took in my whole life.

Maria and Antonio were very friendly. Antonio was helpful when issues with Wifi. Very spacious room and living area, classical building looked 18th century. Very clean. Maria was attentive and friendly at breakfast, like a family breakfast. Location close to seaside, about 15-20 minute walk to Sorrento station.

I got upgraded to a fine big apartment on arrival. Much appreciated & Antonio is extremely helpful and always on hand to help if needed. He has good suggestions regarding the various tours on offer from Salerno also which was great. I enjoyed my few days at Casa Maria. Nada

Fantastic bnb! Maria and Antonio very kind. Beautiful rooms in the historical centre of Salerno with its little coloured lights and small streets. Close to the sea. Highly recommended to stay with them. If you go from the train station walking with suitcases I recommend walking along the lungomare which is quite flat. Thanks for everything.

-My bedroom was clean, comfortable, and had a FANTASTIC view. -Free toiletries for use in a spotlessly clean bathroom. -BEAUTIFUL view from the rooftop of Salerno's medieval centre and the ocean. Watching the sunset was magical. -Location, location, location. Lovely spot and so easy to walk to any/all of Salerno's attractions. -Antonio and Maria are both SO lovely. They're warm, welcoming, kind, funny. As a solo traveller, I was feeling a bit lonely when I first checked in, and the two of them are such good hosts that I immediately felt at home and comfortable. -I really, really appreciated how much we all worked to understand each other even with any language barrier(s)! Antonio's English is perfect, and Maria speaks Italian and French—so I was able to communicate easily with Antonio in English, and I could thank Maria for her DELICIOUS homemade croissants in French. :-) This isn't a critique of the property itself at all—I have sensory processing issues, so I say this as a heads up for anyone else who's sensitive: 1. The walls are thin. Unless you're a deep sleeper, you need earplugs. No one was loud after ~10pm though (and the B&B was full when I was there) which seems perfectly reasonable to me. 2. The elevator from the courtyard to the main floor of the B&B made me feel very claustrophobic. It's quite small, tight, and has limited airflow. I'm glad it's there, and makes the space more accessible, but maybe take the stairs up if you can! Neither of those things outweigh how lovely staying here is overall. Just good to know about in advance if you're sensitive to this kinda stuff. :-)
