Hotel Casablanca Salinas

Right near the beach The confusion of the booking and the breakfast that did and didn’t include breakfast. The showers need to have handrail for the older people to avoid any accidents or falling.

As always, the location right on the beachfront cannot be beat I gave them a second try from my visit earlier this year. The prior time the air-conditioning was weak while the room was small but nicely appointed. This time was very bad. The room fixtures were all ancient: Worndown bed sheets and covers, old desk and chairs, a small tight bathroom that resembles one from the 60s with its electrocuting style showerhead, very poor looking fixtures that you would get in a $20 per night hotel, and a small ants colony that lives in the bathroom. One night around 10pm I was ready to take a shower and there was no water in the room. Had to walk out to the front desk and the guy went to the utilities room to turn on the water. I know the restaurant food is good because I tried them before, but the buffet breakfast is below average and not worth paying extra for. There are too many places on or near the malecon where you can have a good breakfast for half the price. My overall observation is do not just book this place for the location because it is the only positive thing. The rooms are a major disappointment and betrays the look of the hotel at the front. The price charged for these outdated rooms do not give you fair value or comfort you would be happy with if you go to Salinas for a vacation. This hotel struggles to make a 3-star level.

Excellent location in front of beach. Well maintained hotel. Good food from restaurant. Overpriced breakfast buffet and room rate. Air conditioner in room not cooling sufficiently. Faulty old style electric showerhead.

the towels were old and dingy, was too afraid to use them. The bed sheets were old and dingy as well.

All staff were friendly and helpful except the woman at check in. I did not know the parking was off site. there were no tools or toilet paper in our room, but they brought it quickly when we requested.

Too noise. My room was close to the pool.

The location was horrible, hearing motorists and music all night long. The water went out and we had to find out right as we were hopping in the shower after the beach so we wished the staff could’ve communicated better.

There was only YouTube on the TV. The hot water takes a while to work.

Parking was 3 blocks away

The entire staff was so helpful and sweet!!!! They gave recommendations for local attractions such as restaurants, museums, beaches, and stores and bars. I also like the fact that the hotel is literally a stones throw from the beach. Definitely made my first time in Ecuador a blast!!

Clean, quiet, great breakfast, and awesome location. Wish my bathroom had been larger.

On busy days traffic is an issue crossing the street. Sidewalk needs attention and is a problem especially for elders.

First time at this hotel. The woman at the front desk that greeted us was excellent. Warm, welcoming personality and willing to help. Something you don't always see at other properties. The lobby was decorated beautifully.Overall, the atmosphere and the service of the staff here was great. The room was clean and projected a nice atmosphere. Beds were comfortable. We will definitely come back here. N/A
