Altstadthotel Wolf-Dietrich

The location was absolutely excellent. I would’ve never known about this beautiful street nearby. Had we stayed on the other side of the bridge. The bartender who also worked at reception the night we were there was very friendly. The air-conditioning in the lobby was wonderful. The air-conditioning in the room which we chose the property because it had air (and paid $440 per night for 3 ppl) did not work well at all on the one side of room. The room was very drab and no character. No breakfast came with that price. I asked if we could switch rooms upon arriving and they said they were full, but we never saw anyone else there for two days besides two new arrivals.

I really enjoyed my stay and this hotel! The location was wonderful! I was able to walk to most of the attractions on my list. There were many restaurants, stores, and attractions nearby. The room was really nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Just note that the room I had, on the top floor, would not be good for people with mobility issues. The elevator stops on the floor below and then there was one flight of stairs up to my room. This was not a problem for me, but it may be for some people.

Beautiful suite with all you needed and a fantastic city location The fan in the room didn’t work which would have helped where the sun was setting into the windows. And some black out curtains over the windows would be great, but after that - it was excellent

Aircon limited to 25-26c. had to open windows at nights. Noise from the balcony one night...

I liked it

Location was great, just off one of the main streets and we loved having AC (traveled during the european heat wave). The room was beautiful with wooden floors and a classic european courtyard view. Breakfast had everything you could want even for my picky american kid. Pool was small but perfect for cooling off after a hot day in the city. Would 100% recommend!

They knowingly put us in a room without air conditioning and did not warn us. The first night was ridiculously hot, so the next day we had to request a room with air conditioning, which they did accommodate, but were not friendly about it.

Breakfast was delicious and location was perfect. Ideal to reach all main attractions on foot. The room was good and clean. The fact that the car park was not next to the hotel and that the room was in another building.

Blind of one window was damaged and it looks like it is already since a certain time.

Good Good

Great location for seeing Old Town without being in the busiest part of town! The room was a good size. The staff was pleasant.

We were in the annex building. Shower was strong, bed comfortable, big windows, good light. The internet in the annex building is very spotty and weak. The hotel tried to change out the route / equipment but it did very light to help.

The Hotel was off a main pedestrian street which led to the old town of Saltzburg. It was very nice to be able to walk everywhere and leave our car in the garage. We really enjoyed our stay. A walk in shower would have been nice. We had a tub shower which was a little awkward to climb in and out of. Otherwise our room and bathroom were very spacious and modern.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We appreciated how large our room was and our kids loved having the swimming pool. We also really liked the location. The room was quite dated and could have been cleaner. The sofa sleeper wasn’t very comfortable.

Convenient location, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Nothing, it was perfect.
