Very clean, comfortable room in a very old building. The location couldn’t be better and only a 20 minute walk from the train station.
-
location everything else
-
No elevator and I was on the third floor with a heavy suitcase. Luckily, I found some very generous men to carry my suitcase up, and the host carried it down the day I left I wasn’t aware of that before booking.

Walkable location to old town. Good access and easy check in.

The location and cleanliness We had some confusion about the number of people per room and needed and extra set of towels due to there being one room with only one person. We were told to take the towels from that room (which was 2 flights downstairs)..seems like having an extra set of towels for the room of 3 wouldn’t have been such an issue.

Heating in wi twr would be better.

There was a very little step from the bedroom area to the toilet, stumbled in the middle of the night, trying to sneak quietly, instead shouting out loud. Should be some warning on that.
-
Location is the best The room was quite small, and the stairs were a bit challenging. Also, I heard the church bells more in the past two days than in my entire life

Great location and good value Narrow stairs... and steep. Bathroom not in room (but private)

The location is great, right in the old town. It’s a nice old building, nice architecture. Everything was clean. There was an electric kettle in the room with coffee and tea. The little common balcony was very cozy. The check-in was easy. We felt very relaxed and I would definitely come back again. I guess for some people the fact that there is a church across the street (= bells) might be an issue, but we didn’t mind at all. It was a wonderful stay.

The location was great and it had what we needed. We definitely appreciated the extra fan! Since there was no AC, we had to keep the windows open so the church bells were very loud but nothing we weren’t warned about! It was helpful to have the second fan.

We were somewhat disappointed first: the room was so narrow that we had two beds, end-to-end, aligned with the wall. Moreover, the bathroom was in the hallway. Later, during the checkout I was explained (very nicely) that I hadn't read my booking confirmation thoroughly: it included words "private bathroom EXTERIOR" and "twin bed" (that in Canada still means one bed and not two). So, watch out! However we decided to focus on the bright sight of our accommodation: the room and the bathroom were very clean, the beds - comfortable, the check-in process - smooth, and the location. Location was OUTSTANDING. The building is over 500 years old, partly built in the rock and the church with its bells was across the street - we became enchanted and in love with the place.

Location is great - uncrowded pedestrian street with great shops and restaurants, and a 10 minute walk into the old town and 20 minutes to the funicular to get to the castle. Rooms are small but nice. Security is good. Getting into the pedestrian street to unload was a little bit of a hassle but large reasonable parking garage is 200 yards from the hotel. No elevators so luggage to 2nd floor is somewhat difficult ( I’m 73 yrs old)

The bathroom was very loud and strange sudden noises throughout the night
-
Nice location. Small room but comfortable and properly priced. No elevator. Loading/unloading from car somewhat difficult
-
No elevator… so bringing heavy luggage is a challenge.. :-)
-
Very atmospheric and convenient to everything.....and a nice brisk walk to the train station for day trips with a light backpack. Some shampoo would have been appreciated.

There's no reception in the afternoon.

Amazing location. We walked everywhere in Salzburg. The hotel has old world charm and Chris was a great host. We are family of four two tall teenage kids...family room was tight. But we traded size of room for amazing location. Rooms clean and warm and beds comfy. We travelled in December so the warm rooms were perfect. We had read reviews about the church bells ringing during the night. But we loved the bells it just added to the atmosphere. AA+ The rooms are smallish but the building has been there for over 400 years so we weren't expecting massive bedrooms.
