Hotel Grand Caribe

The hotel is very nice and modern and located only a block from the beach. It is also in an area with many restaurants and stores. My room was very clean and comfortable, with a large bathroom. The shower was great having hot water and strong water pressure. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, too. There really wasn't anything I didn't like about the property; however, I wasn't able to get early check in (only an hour earlier) and no one spoke any English. But those aren't complaints, just observations.

The hotel is located in a central location. It is just two blocks away from the main beach. The breakfast was good and the room was spacious. Staff attention was good. They only provided soap once. They said it was only courtesy, so we had to buy our own soap in a store nearby. We stayed for 5 days so we found out this to be ridiculous. Also the restaurant is kinda small, just a few tables. Sometimes we had to wait for other guest to finish their breakfast.

The location is not the best, but it isn't that bad.

It’s simple but clean. Perfect for a short couple of nights stay. Also, it’s close to everything.

Very clean, excellent breakfast (Karen & Rubi make tasty eggs of your choice super efficiently), and great location. Wilmar even provided a shower after check out.

The breakfast was not good and quite poor. Regarding the staff, the man who handled my booking was very unpleasant and had an unwilling attitude. He lacked the smiles and friendliness that are essential for a hotel receptionist. Furthermore, I stayed for 5 nights, but they only provided 2 small bottles of shampoo in my room. When I asked if more would be provided, he replied that they only give them once. These issues, although not very large individually, made my stay and my vacation uncomfortable.

The room was a little small for the price. There was an unpleasant odor coming from the outside one night, but I believe it was just because of the rain.

Everything was great, it’s near to the beach and other places, and every day the service has been done well, so everything was clean. As well, it is a 5 stars in the breakfast, good variety and options :) Not applicable

Location and good price

The room was lovely, aircon worked quickly once turned on. The staff was wonderful! Our bathroom window wouldn’t close so it did get muggy in there even when the air conditioner was on. Breakfast was good, but it wasn’t buffet, so there is a limit to how much food you can have.

Hotel was clean. Staff friendly. Room was basic, nothing fancy. One block from the beach and boardwalk. Large grocery store and a park around the corner from hotel. Staff do not speak English, so be prepared to use Google Translate if you do not speak Spanish. No elevator.

The location. The staff. The cleanliness. The breakfast was far from what we expected for the price paid. It tasted good, but it was extremely limited. It was a la carte, with only a few items for the guests to choose freely. I even requested bit more of scrambled eggs, but it would have extra charge.

The cleanliness of the hotel met my expectations, the staff was friendly and helpful, and although the breakfast is not a buffet, it was good. When I took a shower, the water pooled and drained slowly. Although the hotel is close to the beach, there is a road to cross, which is dangerous because it is not well-lit, and cars tend to speed up.
