Marco was super friendly and very helpful. The hostel had great vibes, the terrace is nice, kitchen well equipped.

Only a 2-minute walk to the beach. The water looks beautiful, though this specific area isn't ideal for swimming as it’s next to a cargo port with some abandoned ship hulls nearby. Severe mosquito problem: My room was full of mosquitoes. Even though I applied repellent every 2–3 hours, I was still bitten constantly. Unprofessional management: When I reported this to a lady who claimed to be the owner, she dismissed my concern, stating that "the whole island has mosquitoes" and that "no one else complained," suggesting it was my personal health issue. I later spoke with another guest who received the exact same dismissive excuse. Ineffective solution: The owner promised to provide an electric mosquito repellent, but the refill appeared to be empty. The bites continued for the second night. Cleanliness issues: The bathroom and shower need better maintenance. There were very noticeable black stains/mold in the shower area. Poorly equipped facilities: The kitchenware was incomplete, making it difficult to cook. Also, the refrigerator was completely full, leaving almost no space for guests to use. Comparison: After moving to another hotel on the same island, I had no mosquito issues.

The location of the hostel was nice. Very friendly staff. Decent kitchen to use and nice chill out area. A towel is very nice to be given. The noise starts at 7am. The A/C getting shut off at 7am. Staff sometimes coming into room earlier than 8am very loud and leaving door open for no reason. Bed was really uncomfortable and the plug is so close to the light switch if you go have a wide block it turns the light on.

Our room was right next to the kitchen and therefore a bit noisy.

No good It’s a supermarket, kitchen, store and hostel at the same time

Eclectic hostel with big, comfortable beds in the private bedrooms. The owner and his family (who live in the hostel) are extremely friendly, helpful, and accomodating. They let us move from the downstairs bedroom to another one upstairs so we could enjoy a bit more quiet. There's a shared kitchen and dining area where you can cook for yourself basic food. You can also rent club cars directly from the hostel. The location is good, an easy walk from the main central area but far enough so it's more peaceful and very close to the water (although not exactly from a beach you can swim at, even though locals do get in) Some of the facilities are a bit run down, most hammocks on the balcony are broken or about to fully break. The shower in our first room was very poorly built so water was going everywhere and getting the floor all wet and it didn't have a shower head at all, then the shower in the second room had super low water pressure, but it was built correctly and had a shower head. The hostel could use some improvements and maintenance.

The host is super, good location, good rooms with AC and curtains, plenty of bathrooms, supermarkets right around the corner, possibility to do tours and rent scooters, possibility to wash your clothes. Overall great stay with a nice common area, they clean everyday and give you a clean sheet as well

Good location, easy walk to downtown. Extremely clean and comfortable. Not much water pressure in my shower but many showers on the second floor had very good pressure

The staff is amazing. Went above and beyond. The breakfast they serve at an extra fee is delicious. Everything you need in order to have an affordable and enjoyable stay. Super private showers and bathrooms. TV room right outside the bedrooms, so it can get noisy at times.

Great social area, good kitchen and lovely staff!

Comfy and spacious rooms with a clean bathroom and linen provided. Staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations for food and activities if you needed these. The hostel has a few supermarkets/ shops nearby for anything you may need. Only around a 15/20 minute walk from the airport. About 25 minutes walk to the main town centre and beach area. Overall a great place to stay on San Andres.
