Casa Tequio

This is a sweet hostel with a very nice host. There is a really lovely common room and terrace as well as clean and well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the freshly prepared breakfast to order.

I had a wonderful stay at Casa Tequio. The place is beautiful and peaceful, the staff is very welcoming and nice, breakfast really tasty. The room was cute, comfortable and clean. I loved the neighborhood, walking distance to the centre and main touristic areas, but still quite authentic. Recommended!

Very good breakfest.

The breakfast is super, the place is nice and quiet and they let me do the check-in right after my nightbus arrived so I could take a nap right away! Everything is at walking distance. The room was cold:( they had good blankets thought

Really lovely staff! Great breakfasts made for you as you request them from the menu that they share that morning. Fresh juices every day. We were well looked after. We used the lounge and made a fire. Great place to share time with friends or family. Bed was a bit bumpy and bathroom was tiny. Better loo downstairs from private rooms. It was good value for money though and comfortable.

the breakfast was local and very nice and with a good variety. the mango juice on Christmas Day was one of the best we ever had! two air heaters were given to us because in the evening/morning it was cold, good tips on things to do too, lovely host (Esperanza), in the old town of San Cris a bit dark but that comes with the type of house we had choosen so that should not count

Super host, Esperanza. She is so friendly, warm and helpful. She communicated so well before the trip. The property is very clean and beautiful, close to the indigenous market and artisan market. The breakfast was exceptional. Every day I chose something different and super delicious. There was nothing I didn’t like.

Everything. I felt so welcomed from the moment I made the booking. Esperanza has been so helpful and lovely. The place is stunning, very comfortable bed, great shared facilities and 25 minutes walking distance from the main bus station. Breakfast was delicious too. Sadly, I can only give 10. I wish I could rate more. If I'm back in San Cristóbal, here is where I'm going to go. A big "muchísimas gracias" a Esperanza and all the people working there. The only thing I would improve is the temperature of the water. In my room, it was just right but I guess for some guests it could be a bit too cold.

Lovely hosts who anticipated my needs! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful every morning. Rooms, bathrooms and shower rooms were always very clean. Location was very good. I'll definitely be returning here as soon as I can! Hostel also can reserve tours at a good rate for you. I felt very taken care of during my stay.

Esperanza is the best host we have ever had! She gave us so many good tips for things to do, served the best breakfast in all of Mexico and even made special tea for us when we said we felt sick. Furthermore, the hostel was extremely clean and the beds very comfortable! Nothing but good words about this place and its people. Gracias por todo Esperanza! Nada

Amazing breakfast the host Esperanza was really helpful

Beautiful property, close to Textile Mercado. The staff were very friendly. Every morning I was greeted with smiling face when I received the delicious free breakfast. The hostel is very clean, they offer different options for travelers, groups or solo. The rooms are comfortable and they have hot water! The large kitchen that is open in the evenings for guests to use. There is a great rooftop patio where you can see the entire city and watch sunrise and sunsets. Big TV game room, comfortable and quiet. When a tour that I had set up earlier was canceled they helped find another. They offer massage therapy which I did take advantage of and it was excellent I really enjoyed my stay. Word can’t express enough.

Very helpful staff. We booked two excursions with them and they let us have a later check out with no extra charge as we were taking a night bus to our next destination. The place was lovely, very clean and great breakfast. Located 10 minutes walk from centre which made it nice and quiet. Been happy with our stay.

Esperanza is super super nice and her breakfast amazing. Everything is homemade different everyday day. For this price it's amazing. The guy at the reception give me as well good informations. The dorm is very comfortable, well thinked.

It’s in a nice quiet area still close to center. The room was nice and spacious, right next to the shared bathroom, which worked just fine. Good Wi-Fi in the whole hotel. There was some shared facilities like sofa. The breakfast was GREAT and plentiful - they even made us hot chocolate. Our last day we had to leave early for the Palenque ruins, so they helped us with some bread and eggs ! Super friendly There was not that much power on the shower, but that is a minor thing.

Great sleep, peaceful courtyard, great location. Lovely breakfast, hot showers, perfect for what I needed, helpful staff who were flexible with my needs. Oh and loads of interesting info about the country and unusual tour possibilities etc. Also a heater in the room which was actually essential, San Cristóbal gets cold in December! Could have had a bedside table/lamp. I stayed in a single room and think there was space.

The staff were amazingly helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. I rented one of the private rooms with a bathroom and it was clean and a wonderful place to stay. The wifi was extremely when others were also using it (at 4am it seemed to work ok!)
