The property is stunning, such a special design and decoration. It feels warm, cozy, like staying at your abuelita‘s :) and also so peaceful. Comfortable beds and the double rooms are ideal for a family with kids. NA

The hotel staff were wonderful - and this is such a cute, quaint hotel in a historical property and is very charming. They added a lot of nice touches, like fresh fruits, coffee and fresh water available at any time. It is in a great location, quiet and easy walking distance anywhere around the town. We didn't have any complaints about our stay here!

The peacefulness and attentiveness of the staff was amazing.

Very friendly staff. Great hospitality from the owner at breakfast time. It's a 200 year old house so the rooms are dark inside. But there are plenty of nice places in the courtyard to sit.

The staff were incredibly kind and generous-they went out of their way to help us with airport shuttle needs. I felt like family. Breakfast awesome. the only slight glitch was airport shuttle-perhaps our lack of Spanish was partly to blame and honestly the Gandhi staff were so helpful it was a very minor issue. But perhaps ideally there would be one door to door Tuxtla airport to hotel service they could recommend to travellers as the booking listing says airport shuttle. I would definitely stay at Gandhi again-the staff were incredible-100% recommend.

Very charming and beautifully decorated. Excellent location. Within walking distance to everything you could possibly need. Staff excellent. The bed in the quadruple room was way too firm for my liking and I found it very uncomfortable. My partner’s bedroom not complaint was that there was not any comfortable chairs to sit in and relax.

Nice location, close to the centro. Lots of street noise, beds are extra firm. The room had a bit of a musty smell. Everything seems very old, which some may find charming but others would feel needs updating.

We stayed at the Hotel Casa de Gandhi for 10 days while we took Spanish classes and enjoyed San Cristobal. In all of my travels I have never experienced the level of gracious and attentive hospitality that was offered by Don Mario and his family at the Casa Gandhi. It’s very special. We particularly enjoyed the morning digestif. The historic adobe casa is beautiful, immaculately cared for and perfectly located for enjoying the innumerable restaurants, shops, markets and cool night life of San Cristobal. Loved everything.

The hotel was beautifully decorated and felt very cozy. The owner has a great eye for detail. Every step of the way the staff wants to make you feel welcome and taken cared off. We enjoyed the breakfast very much and appreciated the help with booking tours and taxis. The hotel is also located in the center so for evenings out we could do everything by foot.
