Four Points by Sheraton San Diego

We arrived to check in and they told us our.Reservation had been cancelled.No one notified us.They did not help us book another hotel.They just said, sorry, too bad.We were left astranded and ended up having to spend more than double what we had budgeted for thank goodness we found a room, otherwise we would have been stranded.

Out dated, needs to be upgraded

I chose this hotel because the pictures and reviews looked great. Unfortunately we had a few instances of spiders (which weren't bad) and a cockroach in our room upon return on the second night. The staff was great was able to assign another room for us. My daughter and I were also looking forward to utilizing the pool, but the walls were rusted and looked damaged. The pool was already really dirty with hair and other floating specks. We didn't use the other amenities upon by the hotel. Overall, it was a fair experience but likely will not stay again.

The room and hotel in general was very clean. Perfect for our mini vacation. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is also close to a few stores and restaurants.

Over all the room is clean. breakfast choices are great

Rooms are clean and upkeep well, staffs mostly helpful, the hotel still hold up for the glory of being a well famous stars hotel. Foods on breakfast and bar areas are regular types, not matching well with the hotel name.

I've stayed at this facility in the past and will stay here again. Exceptional location, easily accessible to just about everything. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about this facility.

The room smelled musty.

Comfortable room, bed, clean. Jacuzzi and pool needs resurfacing, advertised heated pool, it was not. Not many guest at pool but ran out of towels, used towel bin overflowing. Facility a bit dated, some areas upgrated, for instance, the bathroom was modernized. Over all fairly clean but carpets could use a cleaning. The room had a odd smell when entering but cleared up after running the air for a little bit

Beautifully, clean and peaceful property in beautiful San Diego.

Upon arrival, check in was easy. I purchased the extras on Expedia that came with parking and 2 welcome drinks in the bar. She couldn’t see that on her end, but honored it just by telling her what it was. They had a crib for the child I was traveling with and had it sent to the room very quickly. I didn’t get a chance to go to the bar and use the welcome drinks since I had my kids. We went to the pool and it was nice and clean. The last time we stayed here 2 years ago, the spa was dirty and green. This time it was very nice. There was algae on the walls of the pool that I noticed, so hopefully that gets cleans. Room was clean and no complaints with the shower or beds. Tv was nice and easy to use.

The beds were comfortable, The hotel was quiet at night, I slept well. We will stay here again, when we come to visit our kids at college.

The property is nice but needs updating. (Wallpaper peeling off wall, drawers sticking or not closing all the way. Housekeeping came in to clean on day 2 but left no washcloths or coffee cups. There was no remote control for the TV when we checked in and had to call front desk to get one. Food at the morning breakfast buffet was lukewarm in the warmers. Beds were very comfortable and A/C worked well. Overall property was clean and smelled nice. Grounds were attractive.

Reasonable summer price. Front desk is polite. It would be great if maintenance would check all the rooms for electrical and sink working. Temperature in the hallways is too warm. Sink drains too slowly.

There’s no designated smoking section. There are ashtrays outside each entrance. I have no choice but to use the entrance, and therefore, have no choice but to be exposed to the disgusting smoke.

Both front desk & bar staff were friendly & respectful.

Superb

Friendly staff and good service. My only comment is I had asked for the cleaning team to come by while I was away and they didn’t come. The front desk had said the cleaning staff comes every other day. Which was a surprise considering that hotels do a room cleaning every day

If you stay here, do not arrive at night. The late night staffer that checked us in needs to be retrained on how to speak to guests. He is the sole reason we will never return.
