The lounge was clean and inviting.

Great location with a funky vibe.

The hallway to our room had a horrible smell that carried over into our room. The room was very humid and wet with an unpleasant smell. Housekeeping didn’t come during our stay and minimal towels were provided. The room was also significantly smaller than expected, with no closet, mini-fridge, space to put suitcases, etc. the staff was incredibly kind and helpful still.

Room is fine, gaslamp quarter is nice - a lot of breakfast and dining optioins. Hotel has a modern, funky vibe. It's a bit too funky. Really loud, really modern music in the lobby is a bit too much, and also very different from other Moxy's I have stayed.

Overall, the stay was good. The hotel was nice, clean, and everything was well maintained. My only issue was that our room didn’t have a window, which made it feel very claustrophobic. Other than that, everything was good.

The worst day I’ve ever had at this hotel the staff was rude not helpful. Could never bring us anything to the room. Nothing was stocked in my room and I checked in and the check-in process was really slow. I’m really disappointed.

What's good: location on 6th Street near far from the Padres stadium, restaurants and bars. We had a good on site breakfast too. What needs improvement: customer service seemed like they really could care and not friendly. One evening when we returned much earlier than the stated time of having to scan the keys, a gentleman outside the door in a very condescending tone questioned if we were guests of the hotel. I got my key out, scanned nd kept walking as his tone suggested we didn't belong. Next is billing: I prepaid with Expedia with only city taxes due on arrival. I called ahead to ask about the daily hold charge and they said just the $29 city tax since it was prepaid. But when I arrived, the hold amount was upped to $89.70 per day x3. I gave them my card for that hold. After the checkout on the last day, an email from my bank showed that the hotel attempted charging ANOTHER $240 to my card, which my bank did not authorize. I called 4 times the next day and was unable to get their finance person. I talked to the front desk, they denied trying to charge me again, resent me the statement I already had and got mad that I seemed irritated. I was only given an email address to contact to try straightening out the mess of a prepaid stay! There's no way over $500 should be authorized for 3 days when it was prepaid. The rooms weren't great: no trash can in the bedroom, no nightstands just floor height shelves, no desk (just a shelf), no closet, no counterspace. Disappointing!

Only downside is the size of the room

Very poor

The location in the Gaslamp District is good & centralized. The convention center is only 4 blocks away The room I stayed in was for ADA Accessible patrons. But the bathroom was definitely not exactly ADA friendly; especially the bathtub. There is no rubber mat to prevent slipping & no walk-in access. If you were staying alone without a companion and you had a slip & fall in their tub, there is no way to contact the front desk for assistance. There is no phone or direct communication from the bathroom to the front desk.

Incredibly located in the heart of the Gaslamp District, with all of the energy. I saw a lot of complaints from other guests when I read the reviews about how small the rooms are, and it's true: the rooms are relatively small. They are very efficient, and for those of you who pack a ton of stuff, maybe it's not the best idea, but it was very comfortable and exactly what we were looking for.
