Palihotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

There was only one working elevator. The AC did not work and leaked all over the floor.

It was an odd hotel, Staff had a weird energy, it was very quite and kinda creepy

First of all, the first room, the air did not work. Telephone did not work. One elevator was broken. The other barely worked. They gave us another room. The A/C barely worked. Could not adjust temperature. The staff were very nice.

A unique, charming, older hotel with a great tradition in San Diego. Built in 1913, the hotel has managed to maintain a simple elegance, not often found in newer hotels. Centrally located as well to the Gaslamp District. Loved it!

Cute hotel in a great location, rooftop bar has amazing views, clean rooms, comfy bed. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is incredibly charming and cozy! We stayed for a night to see a concert at Petco Park, and it was the perfect walking distance. The hotel was very clean and so pretty! The rooms are smaller but for what we needed it for, it was perfect! The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly. The attached café is beautiful and has FANTASTIC breakfast! If we stayed in Gaslamp again, i will be back!

Great boutique hotel with its unique style. Only bad thing was only one elevator working. And sometimes it took forever just for the elevator to pick you up

I loved the decor of the hotel a long with the amenities such as the roof top bar and restaurant within the hotel. I enjoyed how responsive the staff was whenever I requested anything. The hotel did accept my request for an early check-in which was amazing. The best part was how close we were to everything in the Gaslamp area. We were there for petco park and it a short walk to the park which made the value for this hotel great. I did not like the 1 of the 2 elevators was not working and created a bottleneck when trying to get to our room on the 11th floor. The pressure in my shower was weak and was more of a waterfall style. My shower did not have cold water setting but I do have full confidence the staff would have fixed it if I asked..

Superb

Breakfast was great, staff was nice, elevator was broken/slow. Had to carry my luggage up and down 7 flights of spiral staircase due to the elevator getting stuck in between floors for at least 20 mins. Was very cute decorated but the room was quite small. If it wasn’t just me, it would be uncomfortable to move around the room.

Only one elevator worked and I was okay until you had to go up 5 levels 3-4 times a day specially when you are carrying luggage. The room had AC however the water kept spilling on the carpet so we had to have towels under the AC unit. The walls were pretty thin and there was a lot of noise.

WiFi was a bit spotty for business calls. The hotel has only two elevators, with one out of service (they acknowledge upfront that the elevators are slow).

The location is brilliant The staff were so friendly The decor is very chic And rooftop is a great spot The elevator is nice and I loved history behind however there was only one working and it was very very slow We were only on floor 4 but good luck if your higher up

Fun unique hotel with great service and decor. Comfortable beds and attention to detail in every area. The rooftop bar is charming and has the absolute best views of the city. If you like a historic but elegant hotel, this is your place.

The elevator is odd and requires you to pull open a grate to get in. I get it, it's cool, but it just isn't functional to try and get yourself and bags in the door. The room layout was odd and had very, very limited windows. Kind of a cave. The night auditor had to search around to try and find an iron for me, but couldn't find an ironing board. Everytime another door in the hallway closed, it would make mine rattle. My knees were in my chest sitting on the toilet. Dingy old bathtub with grimy ring around the bottom... And it didn't drain. Awesome. All the coffee pods were decaf. Some real basic problems here. They did offer me a 30% refund. Still would've been 100% better staying at a Best Western. Avoid this kitschy disaster.
