Great place

Loved the stay. It is right in Gaslamp so it does get kind of loud at night. If you're looking for a stay right within walking distance of the bars and restaurants, this is perfect. Parking is probably the biggest downside. Staff was super friendly and attentive.

Great room and nice staff. Use the parking link when buying parking pass at the Horton. Will definitely stay here again

Good hotel for staying few days

As a last minute reservation for comic con it was great

Great stay overall! The location is really good. We attended a concert at Petco Park and walked about 10 minutes. It’s around great restaurants and bars. Room was clean. Alex and the female receptionist/manager were both very accommodating and helpful.

For its price and location, I was comfortable staying here. I literally walked to any place I want. Enjoyed food in many restaurants nearby. Only that there was an unusual sound in my room that keep irritating my ears. They had ear plugs which I did not like using at night. Pillows were really uncomfortable. Also, a bit of rough first day figuring how to enter using the codes as noone is present after 4pm and the shower is old fashioned with not Bathtub. Overall, its fine for supersavers.

Excellent Staff! Drinking water would be helpful in the hotel rooms, but other than that, the staff where great and it was a very clean stay.

Front desk girl, went beyond. Super attentive and nice . Gave us great recommendations for food . Carolina I believe her name was. Recommend staying.

Amazing last minute find, don’t let the outside deceive you, the room was so spacious and clean, bed comfortable and great distance to anything you’d like to see in downtown San Diego

Super nice and clean

GREAT STAFF!!!!! The bathroom/shower arrangement for privacy was inconvenient/awkward because I traveled with my granddaughter.

Great staff, great location, great price, and best experience. Its downtown, so expect a downtown audience.

Very helpful staff. Clean, well maintained room.

Definitely a weird vibe though in the hotel and rooms. Think it’s a combo or the smell and the rooms. Something you’ll definitely have to experience for yourself I can’t really describe it. Felt like we were the only ones there until we finally saw another guest. No coffee or tea in rooms which didn't bother us because there is great coffee shops if you take a 2 min walk. So don’t be fat and get out and walk. Shower head with plenty of hot water was on point. AC works amazingly. Surprisingly quiet for the GQ on a Friday- Sat night. Try to stay on the penthouse level floor. Level 5 for a more quiet room. I’d definitely come back for another stay because I’m a simple guy. If you want the basics with affordability then I’d recommend this hotel. If you’re bougie, this isn’t the place for you.

The room was very industrial. Cement floors, the shower was slippery with no rails, was in the main room. They did provide ear plugs for the noisy drunk crowd out in the street until 2:30 in the morning. The microwave was down the hall and was shared with other hotel stayers.

The front desk staff were always cordial and very helpful during our stay

Nice and self serve

The staff was very helpful anytime you needed them

If your looking for a place to stay around downtown San Diego, this is well. Nothing fancy or anything but it’s great if you’re planning or exploring San Diego and if you’re just looking for a place to stay. Staff was super friendly and my room was nice and pleasant.
