Sonesta ES Suites Carmel Mountain – San Diego

Great appartment, with all required utensils and fixings. Beautiful pool. Had to request towel changes every few days. Pool towels always had to collected before a swim as none were in the towel storage at the pool. Breakfast was great but hours were too early or too short. Needed to be until 9 or later every morning.

Par contre, à notre arrivée, nous devions faire le check. In à 16h, et la chambre n’était pas prête.. Tous les clients sont arrivés en même temps vers 16 heures et il y avait une seule personne à l’accueil et ça a été très long se faire servir et la personne n’était pas très serviable et courtoise. En arrivant dans la chambre, je constate que c’est vraiment propre, et ce n’est pas à la hauteur des standards de cet hôtel. Les vitres sales avec des traces mains dans les vitres et la porte. Des cheveux sur le comptoir de la salle de bain et dans la douche. Le lendemain matin, on arrive au déjeuner et on se fait dire qu’il manque de personnel et il n’y a à peu près rien de disponible à part des fruits et des yogourts mais rien de préparer par l’établissement ou à peine. Bref en fonction du prix payer, je considère que j’en ai pas eu pour mon argent et je n’y retournerai pas

Check in was pleasant and smooth. The night time desk gentleman was extremely rude. I called around 3pm asking for toilet paper and a trash bag to be delivered to my room whenever someone got a chance to do so and was told no I needed to come to the front desk. The breakfast was not very good. The property is near many restaurants.

Good place to stay. Large property tho. My only issue was that I asked for an accessible room (handicapped) and there were none when I checked in. The desk person told me to see if there was anything available the next day. While that was an ok suggestion, it wasnt very practical for me. I managed however with the room I got. It was spacious and quiet which suited me. The only suggestion I would have for the hotel is to either install no slip strips in the bathtubs (for those of us with mobility issues) or to include a rubberized bath mat. The tub was quite slippery and there was nothing other than the curtain rod to hang on to. Like I said, I managed and yes, I would stay here again.

Breakfast was less unsatisfactory! Processed eggs looked terrible;sausage links looked uncooked, potatoes were terrible. coffee and oatmeal was good. coffee cups were too small! Breakfast!

The breakfast was good, they had potatoes and sausages and eggs, etc. I had no complaints and the coffee was tasty. They also had a pancake maker which was cute. The staff in the morning were 100% better, very polite. Overall I would stay again but maybe next time we can check in at an earlier time.

The room was very nice and the amenities were great! The staff was not very pleasant at check in. It was farther from SeaWorld and the beach than I would have preferred.

Great location and the staff was amazing. The room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned and we had some issues with the bathroom, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed.

The location is nearby the Target, Sprouts, etc.. Also, it’s not far from the Golf course. Housekeeping is provided at least twice a week.

Rooms were clean, staff were nice and personable, and breakfast was perfect. Pet relief dirt area on south side of the hotel be aware of fleas. Other than that I like this resort and I would definitely return.

Older property in need of maintenance and very sketchy wifi. We have stayed here twice because of the proximity to my mom's house. Having covered any negatives I would be horribly remiss to not mention the amazing staff. The front desk has always been AMAZING. On our last stay I left my iPad in the room and when we arrived in San Diego I noticed. I made arrangements for an Uber to pick it up and the front desk was AMAZING in helping coordinate its pick up. Amazing service.
