The Monsaraz San Diego, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The AC in the room was broken. No other room available. We arrived late so no other hotel in the vicinity were available. Had to sleep with a table fan that blew “cold air”. The bathroom was dirty.

However it was clean and the balcony and courtyard was well maintained. The food in the restaurant wasn’t the best either but it was quick for a small kitchen.

Room was dirty, hair in sink, carpets stained, wallpaper ripped, bird poop on the windows. They did not clean our room and when I mentioned to front desk, they said they could give me a clean room with no AC. Very dirty room.

Clean facility, friendly staff; we didn’t stay for more than a few hours at night but it seemed relatively close to many things. The AC did not work. While I could adjust the temperature, it never once turned on. We had already settled in for the night, and any fix just would not have worked out.

Convenient location, clean rooms No parking lot available, valet 35 dlls, they overcharged me for the valet only used it 1 day and told them about it but they charged 2 days. Water was cold in the mornings, TV didn’t work and when we called to let them know they said the man who fixes them was there. Only two towels even though we booked for 3 people when we asked housekeeping for another towels she said there’s none, dirty or clean. Manager was able to find us another towel at the end.

A/c was not working, no windows opened for fresh air. Did bring up a fan the second day. Property is cute though

Decor was very modern and attractive.

The hotel overall was very clean, cute and conveniently located. But… the AC in the building was out but they did give us two box fans. There was glass on the floor on the patio. Outside of that it was okay. No pool although the pictures show a pool

Bad

My first room had two big fans, but the room was still 80° at midnight. I moved to another room with a portable AC unit that had a big hose taped to the window. It was loud and inefficient. The air was only cool right where the unit was blowing. The rest of the room was hot and weirdly humid. The tape failed, the hose wouldn't stay attached to the window, and the room got even hotter. My third room had working AC with the new thermostat, and it was comfortable. By that point, though, it was my last day. Needless to say, I never really got comfortable during my stay. I had also strategically chosen a room in the Hilton app because it had a cute courtyard view and was close to the outdoor terrace. Instead, I ended up with a view of a tree. Twice.

Nice rooms, great location.

The staff was so helpful, but the air conditioning wasn't working the entire time we were there. We had a portable air conditioner, but it kept filling up with water and we needed to dump it in the shower. Two of my colleagues had issues with power to their rooms. We loved the location though, just have to be ready for some technical issues.

Location Worn out towels and no AC

We received ~25% discount for both rooms we booked (both had the same issues) but would not have booked if we had known. Very clean and perfect location but cmon’ air and tvs need to work.

No A/C or TV in room. This has been a concern with other guests for months and the property is really doing nothing about it! There are reviews from 4 a 5 months ago sighting these issues. Rooms and furniture are tired and showing wear. I think there was water damage in the room we stayed in. Was there for a birthday and anniversary and NO acknowledgement after calling weeks ahead to ask! I should not had to pay for my entire stay, unacceptable for a premier Hilton property!
