The front staff is nearly nonexistent. Checkin waited 20 minutes. The other times I had to get towels and they said to come down to front desk and again a hunt to find them. Other times coming back, they awere not there too. Parking is street parking if you dont want to valet. Valet is expensive. The drop off check in location is the curb where you park in the valet marked section which was okay but weird. Note the street parking isn't too bad, worse case was parking 1 block away. The hotel is clean. They offer water with lemon at the front.

Staff was a bit non welcoming & slow to provide service. For example, we had to change rooms because our TV didn’t work & they initially said they couldn’t change our room till the next day. Then when we were able to change rooms, it did not have towels. Called from desk to ask for towels. 20 minutes later still no towels. Had to call front desk again and 10 more minutes later they brought up towels. Very clean though, loved the shower, bathroom doors were weird, did not close & block out completely. Bed was very comfortable as well & we were within walking distance of several nice places to hang out

Our stay at Monsaraz was an exercise in patience and confusion. We were originally told that check-in was at 4:00 PM. Upon arrival, we were informed that check-in had been pushed back to 5:30 PM and that we would be notified when our room was ready. We were never notified. The check-in process was total chaos, people were all over the lobby waiting for rooms. The front desk employee appeared completely overwhelmed and pretended to be in charge with total attitude and no solutions. After waiting an extra 1.5 hours to check-in and having to miss our dining reservations, when we finally did check-in, we were told Booking.com failed to pay our reservation and that we would have to essentially double pay to stay. Then came the $75 pet fee, which had not been disclosed to us ahead of time. Another delightful surprise. When we brought that up, the front desk person basically told us good luck finding another hotel that accepts pets. Once we finally made it to the room, we discovered that it had apparently seen better days. There was a stain on the carpet, the hair dryer was broken, there was no hand soap, and the curtains leading to the patio were completely shredded. The next day, when we checked out, we finally encountered an empathetic, professional, understanding person at the front desk named Manny. He actually took the time to figure things out. He confirmed that the Booking.com payment had in fact gone through, meaning we would NOT have to pay twice for our room. He also helped clear up the other issues as much as he could. Between the delayed check-in, lack of communication, chaotic front desk, surprise pet fee, payment fiasco, and room that looked like it had been through a minor wildlife incident, Monsaraz has some serious work to do.

The room, staff and overall the hotel was perfect. The drinks, food and restaurant indoor and outdoor patio esthetic was good.

Nothing Nothing. The air conditioner went out the same night we got there and had to leave to another hotel and we still haven’t received a refund.

Located 1 block from the Boardwalk along the water. Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, ect. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Only disappointment was there was not a pool, but other than that would stay there again. Nothing Really. Would of loved to have a pool to lay next too, or someone in the bar at the restaurant so we could of ordered a drink. Sadly there was no one to order food or a cocktail from so we went elsewhere.

Do not stay here. Rooms look nice but nothing works!!! AC units in multiple rooms do not work. Staff knows this but does not disclose this information with guests. During my stay the room was constantly 85 degrees. Had 3 fans and lowest the temp got was 83. Multiple outlets in the room do not work and the fridge in the room is just a warm drawer. This place is not worth the money there are so many better choices. Do not stay here.

We reserved and paid for a king room nearly three weeks before our stay. When we checked in, we were given keys to a room with two queen beds without being told about the change. We only discovered the issue after entering the room and had to return to the front desk. Staff confirmed that they had moved us because there were no king rooms available and acknowledged that they “overbooked” and that Hilton Honors/direct bookings were prioritized over third-party bookings. We were told they could cancel our reservation if we were unhappy but were not offered any meaningful accommodation or refund, despite not receiving the room type we reserved and paid for. After the stay, Booking.com contacted the hotel on our behalf and agreed that the situation was not handled appropriately. However, the hotel still refused to provide any compensation. While the room itself was clean, the way this situation was handled left us very disappointed.

Safe and convenient area Air conditioning didn’t work. TV didn’t work. I paid for a king bed and got two smaller beds. Bathroom was not very clean. They said they couldn’t move me to a different room. And the only parking option is the hotel valet, but they take a long time to bring your car.

I don't normally write reviews but this hotel was really disappointing, room was dirty, crumbs on floor, ripped curtains, dirty carpet, smelly sink, we paid extra for a balcony and you could not sit on the cushions, they should, have been light grey but where black like coal, when mentioned to front desk was told we have had some issues, fridge in room also did not work, we were there 2 nights and housekeeping did not not make up room , never saw them they seemed non existent, the only good thing was the location, really disappointed room we stayed in was 202

One thing I liked was the location, other than that, my room was dirty(crumbs along the wedge of the beds/ grapes on the floor from the previous guests), we had 1 towel for 4 people,

Nice location.
-
Calm, clean, the location. They did not have towels for us on time and we wanted to take a shower. It took more than an hour for them to deliver them.
-
I would never set foot in this hotel evsr again.
-
Shower didn’t drained hard and uncomfortable to shower. Dirty lamps dusty, stains on pillows towels and sheets.
-
I was told no early check-in to come back at 4 PM. I wasn’t able to get into my room until almost 530. All they offered was a $30 drink voucher. An absolute joke I don’t know what was going on was not very helpful.

We had booked one night in July. Upon arrival, we were told the AC was not working in about 80% of the rooms, and that we hadn’t been notified in advance because Booking.com doesn’t share phone numbers (side note: a message via the Booking app would have worked). The concierge offered a free cancellation, so we stayed elsewhere and were told to start the refund process through Booking.com. That process has now dragged on for three weeks. Booking.com says they cannot issue the refund without written confirmation from the hotel, and that the hotel has not responded to their repeated requests — even after we called the hotel directly ourselves, and even after we asked Booking.com to call them directly too. Neither the hotel’s silence nor Booking.com’s inability to resolve this within three weeks is acceptable. Given the AC issue and this drawn-out aftermath, we strongly recommend avoiding this property, and we’re also reconsidering using Booking.com in the future.

Room was never serviced. Soap dispenser did not work and the towels and linens were old with stains.
