Older hotel probably needs some upgrading. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent.
-
The building is old but very well maintained. The view of the bay bridge was amazing. Sound proofing isn’t too great but it wasn’t too noisy. Overall definitely recommended for single travelers, couples and families
-
The hotel is walking distance to the Ferry Building. Very nice stay, we will come here again next time.

If you are looking for a safe, clean, well kept hotel in a good location this hotel is for you. Cable cars and bus stops right around the corner for easy travels all over the city, right across from the ferry building, and lots of restaurants in the area. Definitely would stay again!

All good

The staff was welcoming upon arrival and very accommodating when I asked for a room change. I was initially given a room in front of the elevators and immediately adjacent to the stairs. As a very light sleeper, I knew that wasn’t a good placement for me. Ann at the front desk was kind enough to relocate me and upgraded me cooking room at no additional charge
-
Good location, early 20th century building well renovated (including structural reinforcements), a bit too close the water so the August bay-area air was not the most pleasing.

This is my second visit here as a solo traveler. Definitely one of my go to choices for hotels! Love the proximity to the ferry building since that’s how I get in and out of SF, never have to walk far with luggage

The room was beautiful, the shower was fantastic, the bed cozy and comfortable. We had to park in the structure across the street, but it was easy and convenient.

Nice property, great location, even better staff.

Rooms are a little small

Excellent location!! Perry's was delicious and really affordable. The hotel staff was fantastic; friendly, helpful and always cheerful. The rooms are smaller than an average hotel room. That is not a criticism, just a statement for future bookers. Walking distance to everything and trolleys stop right by the hotel to transport you to every part of the city. Overall a great experience and I would recommend.

The rooms are very small and I don’t recommend for 2 people. That being said, everything was on point. The staff were very helpful and the hotel itself was kept clean. If you are walking to the tourist areas (i.e. ferry bld., pier 23 & 39, Fisherman’s Wharf) are about 15-20 minutes to 35-40 minutes. I do recommend this hotel…..all was good!

Great location, rooms are small but would stay again.
-
Great, clean hotel convenient to The Ferry Building and public transportation. Just a quick 5 minute walk takes you to the street cars and cable cars. Staff was very friendly even allowing an early check in free of charge. Perry’s, the restaurant within had great food and outdoor seating across from the bay.

This hotel is cute with its old traditional styling and so I thought it would be great, but there are many better hotels with more amenities at a better price. Yah it's on the Embarcadero, fairly near things, but that's it. The rooms are very small, the showers extremely small with the bathroom sink in the room not in the bathroom. No breakfast, not even a continental breakfast, nothing. No parking for the hotel, you have to park at an expensive parking garage a block or so away. The front desk staff aren't very personable. They have their own restaurant but the food is just okay. You can get getter accomodations and amenities at other hotels. You're just paying the higher rates for the location.

Honestly, every thing was really nice at Hotel Griffon. From the hotel itself to the staff. Loved the complimentary breakfast and location. This is a very cool boutique hotel and it was a very enjoyable place to stay. Will stay here next time we come to San Francisco.

Fabulous location. A little dated but that’s ok. Huge room with large patio. Good choice for the money.
