I want to emphasize that everyone else we interacted with was great, but the overnight front desk experience was disappointing and really affected our stay.

Location was perfect for me. Quiet room without frills like gym, pool, room service was exactly what I needed

Big shout out to Sean, who's always helpful and kind, thank you! The room was clean and so were the bathrooms. There was a mean dog on the elevator, I had to take the stairs and I'm elderly and use a cane.

However, the property itself needs much better maintenance. There was an unusual and unpleasant smell in different areas of the hotel, including inside my room. The shared restrooms and shower areas were also not maintained properly, and there was a noticeable bad smell coming from them. Cleanliness and ventilation in the common areas definitely need improvement. Because of the overall condition and smell, I did not feel comfortable spending much time at the property. During my two-night stay, I mainly used the room just for sleeping and spent most of my time outside. Overall, the location is good and the basic room amenities are acceptable, but the cleanliness, shared facilities, odor, and general maintenance of the property need significant improvement.

Stay far away from this place. The location is great, but the big cockroach on the floor that greeted me was not. I am sure that this is a city-sponsored hotel for the homeless that they launched during COVID to get the homeless off the street. This hotel smells, unsanitary looking, and I did not sleep; I just sat up all night until I could check out. I was not able to get a refund on the second night, but I did not care. I was just happy to make it through the night without getting bedbugs

Patricia n Elizabeth were very friendly n helpful. Place was cleanly kept. It’s conveniently located. I value t history of t place, how it used to be dirty road outside per Patricia. It’s cool that it’s across t street from Zoetrope!

I found bed bugs in my first room. Luckily they upgraded me to a bigger spot. However I had switch twice because the other room did not have a remote control for the TV. However staff is always nice

I saw some bad reviews and thought it couldn’t be that bad. I’ve stayed in places with bad reviews all the time, but this was awful. Only positive was the location.

Great staff and location

Our room looked nothing like the pictures and was infested with bedbugs. We are now having to deal with severe bites all over our bodies. The sheets on the bed were disgusting. No curtains in the bathrooms so anyone can see you using the toilet. Floors were filthy. I would avoid this place at all costs. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The location was great for getting around as a tourist. A few of the folks who live in the apartments were telling me how they are always battling bed bugs in the building. They were fumigating on the 3rd floor during my stay. I didn't personally see any bed bugs but it was my initial concern once I entered my room the first day. Otherwise the room was fairly clean other than the floor being very sticky. It took awhile to find the soap as they are behind the mirror. The bed was a spring bed but slept fine on it. A couple of the hotel staff seemed a bit short and not very friendly. The shared bathroom has a window and no privacy for the toilet. I would personally not stay here again.
