Hotel Boheme

Chic and charming spot in the heart of North Beach. Note that room didn't have AC so you'll rely on windows and fan and breezy San Fransisco weather. Also was lacking a fridge for the room and access/complimentary water. Would come back!

This was a very convenient location to the venue we were playing at! The only hard part is parking! But the hotel was great!

The staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable about the area. It felt like a stay at a bed and breakfast.

Exceptional

Hotel Boheme catapults you back to the era of the beats. It’s an ode to an older version of North Beach, from the decor to the sherry to the attentive staff. The property itself is ideally located Columbus avenue, but the true joy in our stay came from exploring the hotel— including vintage photos and newspaper clippings. Hotel Boheme offers a highly curated and unique stay that was perfect for our time in San Francisco. It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room, but the experience overall was wonderful nonetheless!

Location, history the stairs!

This hotel is the best location in North Beach. Its history is very interesting. The staff was wonderful. You can literally walk to more iconic restaurants than anywhere else. The Stinking Rose is Nextdoor and on the other side a bakery that is great for coffee and pastries. We had a struggle with the steep stairway but if you are younger it is ok. Our room was small and decorated from the beatnik era of Kerouac and Ginsburg. Everything is very dated and the room had a strange odor probably from the Stinking Rose exhaust which was right outside our window. The bed was just OK, not great and the TV was smaller than my IPad. Electrical outlets are sparse giving the age of the building understandable. If you don’t mind stairs and lack of any creature comforts this is a good choice because of its location, location, location

Awesome hotel, loved the ambience and history and the location was absolutely perfect!

The hotel is beautifully maintained in a wonderful part of San Francisco that made it easy to get around. Unfortunately our room was quite small and faced onto the busy and noisy Columbus Avenue. The windows are quite thin so it led to a disrupted sleep, along with a fairly uncomfortable bed. The staff were helpful and had all the amenities needed.

Location fabulous. Surrounded by alfresco Italian restaurants and cafes. Cafe downstairs excellent. Located near beginning of China town. Felt very safe, even late at night. About a 20 minute walk to fisherman's wharf or the ferries. Bed was exceptionally comfortable and cosy. Bathroom small but adequate. Shower good. Staff friendly and helpful. It's an old building. So no lift and stairs a bit steep. Not a problem for us but maybe for some. Dragging heavy luggage up the stairs was no fun. It was very dark. Great for sleeping in. But the light in our room was dull so sometimes it was hard to find things in my bag.

Perfect quaint place to stay to enjoy SF as a tourist. It’s a small hotel that feels like you could be staying there 100 years ago with the home-style rooms. You get the experience of really living there instead of merely visiting, and the location is really convenient because it’s walking distance to so many interesting neighborhoods and streets. The hotel also serves free glasses of cherry in the evening, which is such a nice touch, even though I don’t really drink.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Boheme, just like the last time I stayed 4 years ago when I was in SF. The staff is so pleasant and can’t beat the location. My room was the perfect size for myself to get a good nights sleep each night before setting off to enjoy all that SF has to over. I always enjoy staying on Columbus and hearing the hustle and bustle of everyone outside enjoying themselves in the heart of North Beach.

Nick is the best thing that will happen at this property... there is nothing else you will get, that's it.

Charming hotel in a great location. Smaller rooms than modern hotels and no elevators were a minor inconvenience. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
