Marina Motel

Loved having safe parking and a kitchen—made out trip much more affordable and comfortable. The courtyard is so pretty, it’s like an oasis. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their property. We will be back!

Lovely motel in a great location. The courtyard is full of flowers. Parking is a tight fit but free. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It was nice, but it definitely has that historical feeling to it! The flowers and plants were beautiful! It was in a convenient location with a lot of touristy areas nearby. The palace of Fine Arts was a short walk away, as well as Presidio park. And near that was a beach with views of Alcatraz and the golden gate bridge. Public transport was easy to navigate.

The best old school place ever. I will never stay any other place in the city ever again. And that they are so pet friendly is only a bonus.

Excellent place to stay, very...

The garden, parking, renovated bathroom, and kitchen. It was like having a little house! We were also able to bring our dog. A street facing room is not ideal. There is quite a bit of traffic.

Location and helpful staff. Street noise! Courtyard room is a must.

Love the plants! Very cute and rooms facing courtyard are very quiet for a good night sleep. Wish there are a bit bigger parking spaces for bigger SUVs.

We arrived an hour before the check in and the front desk lady let us enter before the allocated check in time. The beautiful outside murals and plants elevate the edifice. The garages ae extremely convenient, I also liked the choice of coffees and hot chocolate along with the makeup wipes in the bathroom.

Loved having a garage! Location was ideal and the property was adorable! Bed was comfy and the lady at the desk was super friendly.

Staff was incredibly rude when it came to parking, giving unclear directions and then getting mad at us when we parked in the wrong garage, telling me she had never seen me before in her life and calling me crazy when she was the one who checked me in and instructed me on parking

We had a great stay at Marina Motel and it will be our go-to for future trips to SFO. The place is wonderfully laid out, quiet and everything works. We had a unit with a kitchen which allowed us to have simple meals when not out at the best restaurants. We met Heidi, grand daughter of the founder and learned she is working with her daughter to make the 4th generation a reality. All was great with the room...clean and quiet...our two most important measures. The only thing I could think of to make the stay better would be an upgrade to the bed which was a bit soft. Perfect location and clearly a place to consider if you want to be close to everything but have a quiet place to stay.
