Mirage Inn and Suites

The refrigerator in my room was broken. I called the front desk, but no solution was offered. I was simply told that someone would come the next day to check it. However, nobody came, and I ended up having to throw away food. This could have been handled much better.

Love this hotel…. It is within walking distance to ocean beach and San Francisco zoo. Bonus points there Is a coffee shop at the corner and a plant store on the next block. Pizza place and convenient store within walking distance ( same block). Parking included with stay. Room was clean and remodeled with a mini fridge and microwave. Definitely recommend and will be back!

Exceptional

all ok, when there, except we asked to add Sunday night, which was not a busy night. Were charged $40 more than Friday or Saturday which we had booked online through Expedia. I called later when I saw the charge, and they rudely said that is our rate and hung up.

Bare bones hotel. Thin walls and horrible parking

Nicely remodeled. It felt like current management was on a very tight budget. One in room single serving cup of coffee with no cream or sugar for a room with three people.

Our room had a fridge, microwave and nice living room space. The bathroom needs a well working fan vent. The blow dryer didn't work when I needed it at night and the front desk had no solution except to wait until the morning until he could find a replacement. The pillows are firm which hurt my head. The room was nice, clean, and modern.

It was quiet. I slept well there. Mirage inn was in easy walking distance to the beach. It took me 7 minutes to walk there and watch the waves, surfers, pelicans flying. Coffee cafe next door. Bus stops right there. Walking to the Pomeroy rehab center where my event was took 15 minutes or less. I felt safe walking at night. Zoo was across street.

We liked that it was close to the ocean and AWAY from the city. The a/c unit in our room was very noicy when it would turn off and on during the night and when viewing the TV the output had a "static/snowy" image.

Nice place would book again

My experience at the Mirage Inns and Suites was a nightmare. When I took a shower the very first day it overflowed because the shower drain was blocked. The water flowed out of the handicap shower all over the bathroom floor and flowed into the bedroom before I realized it. I immediately dried off called the manager and he came very quickly. But when he came he yelled at me right in my face and shook his fist and his finger at me and blamed me for destroying his hotel room. I began to sob I was so upset. I was afraid that he might even hit me he was so close to me and yelling so much in my face. The only saving grace was the housekeeper who came and assisted me to become calm. I checked out the next day after my sister-in-law put drano down the shower drain in order to open it.

The room was clean, the ac worked great, and the windows opened in our room so we were able to get fresh air!

Upon check in I had to ring the bell for service. The man that came out to check me in seemed to act a little inconvenienced. Other than that the check in process was good. The hallways could use some fresh paint, the room was nicely updated and very clean. Not fond of the gap between the room door and the floor, also the loud noise from people walking and talking in the hallway. Parking was very easy and convenient. Coffee pot, fridge and microwave was nice to have in room. Overall my stay was good and if in the area again I would book this place.

The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. Great place to stay for a quick trip to the city. Free parking on site was also super helpful.

The parking was horrible once they filled up. We have a traverse and it was so hard to fit our car in the parking garage when a lot of people are parked. Luckily the hotel is in a residential neighborhood and a weekend so we parked behind the hotel for our last night stay. The hotel doesn’t seem too busy on the weekdays though. Over all the hotel is very nice and well maintained and very clean and housekeeping is very friendly. We stayed 3 nights and they came every morning to throw out our trash.

Over all the rooms looked great but the door in our room for the bathroom didn’t even close fully, remodeled nicely though, front staff were mean and rude not my fault your old and still need to work, only nice staff was the housekeeper.
