Staying at Sanctuary Mandela was an exceptional experience on all counts. The staff was so friendly , helpful, and knowledgeable. The restaurant was a culinary delight. Nelson Mandela’s life stories are reflected throughout. We highly recommend staying here!

The staff were fabulous …nothing was too much trouble. The tour was very interesting and we loved learning more about the property and the art and history. . We had supper at the restaurant and it was delicious….thank you so much for making my birthday very special, this will be our go to place in Johannesburg. .We only stayed one night on a layover between flights and it was so worth it .. It was all wonderful

It Is our second visit to Sanctuary Mandela We had a lovely room The lady who did the tour of the property was excellent Service was attentive The food was a let down .overpriced and average compared to our first experience in February 2024 The wines we ordered were unfortunately apparently not available and we ended paying a dear R 872 for a very average bottle of wine . A real pity as we used to recommend this property for the experience and no longer feel it is worth it
