Across the street from the beach, which in the area is called beachfront. Beautiful older hotel with the Wharf and restaurants within walking distance. The room was very small and the had no closet to hang our clothes. Overall great stay.
-
Charming place with great location by the beach.
-
A great place to stay with an overlook over the ocean! Also able to get on the beach easily and downtown was close enough to walk into

Look, it’s Santa Barbara, where everything is a little old/small/dingy but goes for a premium. However, if you’re on the fence about spending big here for a “premium” experience, know that it’s just not gonna be able to provide that you. Room was well appointed but the walls were paper thin so you hear every bump and noise from around you. It’s a well-lit building with exterior corridors, so there was a lot of light streaming into the room that the drapes couldn’t keep out. There were some ants as well, which makes sense based on the age of the property and its location by the beach, but that gets back to the original problem — spending around $1K on a room like this and expecting anything more than a modest upgrade over a best western plus will end up letting you down. Maybe it’s not the Milo per se, and just a fact about downtown SB in general. I value a premium experience when I spend for it and I was really let down.

Beautiful hotel with views and amenities. Would stay here again

I liked the happy hour and the outdoor seating areas

Our particular room was a bit weird. Our beds were supposed to be queen size but were too narrow and very uncomfortable. The vanity in our bathroom was very small so there was no room for toothpaste, toothbrush or anything else you might leave on the counter, no room. There was no table and chairs to just sit and visit. There were 2 occasional chairs and a small table but what was point? They were uncomfortable. Sorry but it was not a good experience.

Perfect location on the beach and easy walk into shop’s restaurants etc. The restaurant used for breakfast had large queues most days. However you are so close to lots of others within easy walk.

Very attractive property overlooking the ocean. We had a 2 room suite as have 2 teenage kids with us, which was ideal. They were delighted to find the bunk beds were actually doubles! Very comfortable beds. The staff were very nice. The valet guys were very friendly and helpful, especially Angel who helped us when we took the complimentary bikes out along the promenade, which was lovely, and also the complimentary beach seats when we took them to the beach across the road. My daughter (& husband!) enjoyed the nightly complimentary S’mores around the fire pit, and we appreciated the complimentary morning hot drinks available in the lobby. There is no restaurant which wasn’t a problem, but it would have been nice to perhaps have a bar near the pool area so we could have got a drink, although there is a large fridge area in the lobby that you can buy goods from, if you want to pay their prices! The toiletries in the bathroom were lovely. We loved our time at the Milo and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Santa Barbara! No kettle in our room, although that seems standard for the US!

Great location if you want to dine, shop, go to the beach or pool. The property is older but maintained pretty well and the rooms are well appointed with bathrobes, slippers, coffee and water

The location is excellent, and the property is lovely. The hotel amenities - pools, common spaces, happy hours, complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby - were really enjoyable. The only challenge was the size of the bathroom. There was no way for two people to get ready at the same time.

The location is perfect, staff were amazing Absolutely nothing
