It was close to both the ferry and local cafes. The room was secure. The manager was very pleasant. It is very difficult to access in the first instance. I had to wait until someone let me in. I had to find the reception, which was closed. And then locate the manager to enable booking in. The room was facing the street, and the shutters didn't work. So, traffic noise and street lighting meant sleep was difficult. It was also bloody cold overnight. My biggest issue, however, was the lack of offroad/secure parking for my motorcycle. I spent most of the night lyinginworried that

Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to the port. Comfortable room with nice shower. Parking is free opposite, but I found it hard to find a space, it took 15 minutes of driving around the car park. Eventually found one a five minute walk away.

Good location for ferry and town. Friendly staff, use of a small kitchen/dining room Even though on a main road it had good soundproofing. Overall a good 7/10 Bathroom was tiny, took forever to get hot water through, terrible waste of water. Bedding was clean but some old marks on it. Even though they advertise free parking and there are spaces around the hostal, it is nearly impossible to find a free space. I had to park near the ferry port a good 5 minute walk away. They do offer a paid parking service at a local garage though.
