A Happy House indeed! How could you not be happy staying in such a grand old house? With so many open, communal spaces, it felt like living in a small palace. The staff were genuinely lovely and wonderful. Eric at reception went out of his way to be helpful, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. The breakfast was rather basic, though fruits and drinking water were provided for throughout the day. Also, the communal kitchen is inconvinently located in another section of the house. Small issues, though.

The road was super noisy all night, the pool was bright green and overall it wasn’t that clean.

Reception staff were very nice and helpful. Some restaurants/bars nearby. Outside area was nice. Private double room was spacious with own sink. Bathrooms were okay, some out of order at the time we stayed.

Francisco at the reception was one of those people that you can count on to solve any issue that may arise, not because it's his job, but because he's honestly that kind of guy who enjoys helping others. That surely was a plus for making the overall stay a pleasant one. The common kitchen could use some more taking care of. From things like regularly cleaning the fridges and throwing away stuff belonging to guests who left (or dedicating some fridge space for "things to share"), to making clear where exactly guests can store their things. Some labelling of drawers would be welcomed. Apart from that, kitchen devices and utensils were alright for whoever wanted to make use of them.

Nice pool and good kitchen. They put a key code on the door of the rooms means your constantly being woken up by people coming in and out of the room all night due to beeping sounds. There’s only one tiny fan for the whole room. I asked them for a refund for my final night and the front desk told me I had to email them. I emailed and never received a response.

This is a historic building with a beautiful exterior. The public spaces are as big as the hotel and there is even a pool. The rooms are also large. There are enough toilets. The bathrooms are separate for men and women which is very good. The location is good, walking distance to the subway station, and next to the subway station is the airport bus stop. Kitchen utensils not cleaned properly.

Good value for money. But the most important; Francisco at the reception is a top guy, so greeting and helpfull and the sole reason im writing this review!

Nice accomodation in a hugh old building with a big rooms and beds.

Lovely place in the centre of Santiago, the space is huge. The pool and the rest areas give you everything you need. It doesnt feel like, that you are on the middle of a big city. Really close to the Bus Station which brings you to the airport. The rooms are really spacious. Around the hostel is not much, would be nice to have some bars or something around.

Great hostel with superb location near the city center. For the price I could not asked for more. The only downside are the breakfests, they are really poor.
