The social space furniture is very grubby, old and not very welcoming to sit on - everywhere throughout the hostel, not just in one place.

Could use curtains, more lights and more outlets.

I liked that the dorm room and restrooms were spacious. The lockers were the biggest that I have ever seen in a hostel. The hostel is front of a gas station that also has a pharmacy. There are restaurants and small corner stores by the hostel as well. There would be cleaners who could clean the dorm rooms and bathroom which I really do appreciate. There is no key to open the female dorm room so it basically is left a bit open to go in and out. I think this is a security issue because there were times a guy would open the door and realize it’s the wrong room. When I arrived to the hostel I was having stomach issues and I asked the receptionist if there was an extra trash can to put in the room in case I had to throw up. She said she didn’t know if there was any extra and didn’t even try to look for one. She didn’t seem concerned and never asked how I was doing the rest of my stay. Other than that lady the other staff has been nice.

The stuff are really nice and welcoming, the place is clean and the garden is great and fun:)

—massive massive hostel so there are plenty of places to sit alone or with friends or meet new people at hostel —love the communal showers and bathrooms separated by men and women because there was never a wait to shower or use restroom —free drinks on Mondays —most staff and volunteer were very friendly —no heat. It is extremely cold in Santiago now. And one staff didn’t offer me extra blanket —bed was very shaky and uncomfortable —mattress was uncomfortable and hurt my back —no privacy curtains on the beds —blankets on top of beds appeared very dirty

Building itself is nice and the space for work or doing your things Location, the beds is sooooooooo bad specially if you stay upstairs, it is worse bed I ever had.
-
The upper bunk beds are very unstable. They move a lot and make noise.

Loved the pool and the vibe. Wasn't secure. We put our food in the fridge for a few hours and it was gone. I also think the price for what it is, you could get a better deal elsewhere.

The area at night seemed a bit unsave compared to others and the lockers in the room could be better

We had a private room with shared bathroom and enjoyed hanging out by the large pool area and in the many common areas. The building had a lot of character and very high ceilings. Very social hostel and we met some great people! The private room was nice but didn’t have a window to the outside or AC so the room is pretty hot during the summer.

The pool and the internal yard The common area and the overall atmosphere, though it's not super party style actually It's very wide and nicely decorated, the building itself is really cool The cleaning staff cleans the bathrooms when they're more necessary, like at 10am, which was very annoying

Great location and the hostel was beautiful. Great old building and nice pool. Everything was great. nothing to complain about.
-
It almost had a resort feel to the place with the pool and bar. But what stands out is the architecture. It's a very old building. The period furniture gives the feeling of what life was in the past. High ceilings with open spaces and comfortable sofas throughout the building. Every room was unique and inviting.

Everything. The stuff, pool, patio

I booked only one night because I was doing layover there and needed to rest for some 10 hours before next flight. The place is nice if you are in chilling mood! They have cats! *-* so wonderful! Anyway, you just get for what you pay! Staff: not really friendly, just told me where is my room and how to get there, but didn't join me (as I was welcomed and took to my room in other hostels) The room: the room has no key so anyway can enter/exit. however, my room... used to get locked when leaving, and I had to go back to the desk front to ask for somebody to open it The neighborhood: some place I would not walk around even in an early evening. I just ordered some food by uber eats, and then I saw people also ordered food. It is noisy! As I said, good place if you are in a chilling mode, not really my case this time, I wanted to rest more than chilling haha

The hostel cat is very cute. They did clean the pool, even though it had debris blown into it by midday. I saw staff cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen, they just didn't stay clean very long. The kitchen is one of the least welcoming I've used in any hostel. Everything is disorganized, the fridges were gross and full of old food, there was no cloth to dry your dishes so people left them piled up in the drying rack, if they bothered to wash them at all, the sinks were frequently full of dirty dishes. The staff can blame the guests, but I've been to plenty of other hostels where people wash their dishes, so there's something about the space that makes people think they don't have to care about keeping it clean. Management should consider that. Also, there was no toaster - apparently it broke a week before and they didn't bother to replace it. The kettles were full of mineral sediment. I showed them to the staff and they acted like they were going to clean it and then just didn't. For two days there was no hand soap in the second floor womens bathroom. I told staff about it 3 times before it finally got replaced. There is no shelf to put your things in the shower. The hot water is inconsistent. One time I showered and the water shut off completely for 5 minutes. There's random plywood instead of floor tile in the hallway and construction debris just left around. The whole hostel just gives an air of nobody caring about it. I would not recommend it and I would never go back.
