there are not enough sun loungers near the pool

The location is nice, right in front of the beach. The room was spacious enough and clean. The swimming pool is nice. The staff at the reception was not friendly nor welcoming. The view from my room was ugly. The air-conditioning was really noisy so I preferred to sleep without it (opening the window was not an option since the room was right next to the hotel's boiler...even noisier).

The hotel is really wonderful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The best vacation we had for a very very long time.

Very convenient access to Sanya, 10min Taxi drive to one of the main night markets. Direct access to the beach with own umbrella & sunbed area, the only one under the plan trees in all of Dadonghai. Dadonghai as a whole caters to Russian-speaking tourists. It is more likely to interact with the locals speaking fluent Russian than broken English. All restaurants/bars/tours are in Russian. The beach is very inviting: white sand, crystal-clear water. However swimming is only allowed in small marked areas which by low tide means knee-deep water. If you venture outside the designated areas (as in "go for a swim") the swim-police will yell and harass you incessantly with bullhorns and sirens until you give up and join the penned-in herd. The swimming situation was similar in nearby Yalong Bay beach

Impressive and comfortable hotel in SanYa. It has a nice swimming pool and it is very close to the beach and to a lively area with beachside bars. The area around the hotel gets crowded every evening with people singing and dancing. I can absolutely believe that it was the hotel where foreign politicians were hosted when in Hainan, since it is that beautiful. The wifi did not work with username / password. I could get something using wechat, but I cannot speak Chinese, so I did not click anything so I don't know if the wechat-activated wifi was going to work. Most employees do not speak English.

The room was clean and pleasant. There were a couple of damaged items (toilet seat and bar fridge) which we brought to the attention of the concierge, but these were not fixed during our 3 day stay. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice, and a pleasant outdoor covered patio area to sit and eat. The hotel had never received the booking from Booking.com !! We had booked a garden room, on the ground floor with an outside garden area. Clearly, all these rooms were already taken. We were put into a top floor room with a small balcony - and there was no apology or price reduction or adjustment. We're fairly relaxed travellers, so this was not a show stopper, but Booking.com needs to lift its game and confirm such bookings reach the hotel.

The hotel answered my email 7 days later, even though it was an important one (regarding transfer from and to the airport). One evening we came from the beach only to find a lizard on the wall. When we phoned for help, nobody spoke any English and they hang up on us. So we had to walk all the way to the main reception to get somebody..... The other evening a cleaning lady switched the a/c to the freezing 18 degrees with 31 outside. We froze to death!!! The room had many signs of damp on the walls, ceiling and cabinets, while the entrance door was hard to close.

Very good

Location was good- many restaurants and shops. You are allowed to swim in the ocean. Staff were friendly. Rooms were comfortable and had everything you need. Pool was cold. Beach open to public so sometimes it gets messy and crowded. Rooms overlooking car park same price as overlooking beach! Breakfast a bit crowded but had decent food.

Hotel is in very good shape, well maintained, the rooms are clean and tidy, the beds are comfortable, breakfast buffet provides a lot of options including some vegan dishes. The beach and pool is very clean as well Staff does not speak any English, however, for everyday communication the translation apps do wonders

Cleanness of Beach Area was not very good. (due to waste of other guests at public beach area)

The pool is open late. The air-conditioning in the room didn't work. The noise was horrible and the temperature wasn't regulated. The bathroom is super small and the water is leaking all around. The price is too high for the facilities offered. The hotels in Yalong bay are a bit more expensive but offer much better quality of the rooms and facilities.

Great location. No obstacles to reach the beach, good for walking around. Poor breakfast, horrible coffee, noisy people who did not care of others drying their bathing towels and swimming dresses outside the door in the hallway (this is ridiculous as these places were not rented by them), too loud music at the pool side, smokers on the hall way to the rooms, especially in the night. all translations need a remake. English and Russian were both often wrong.
