Hotel Xaguate

It is a good hotel with great view.

The hotel is nice, cozy. It has a nice restaurant in the pool with a Seaview. They offer room service but but the infrastructure is lacking: The room phone wasn’t working and there was no menu in the room to choose from. They say it’s a 4 star hotel but luckily is a 2 star. I don’t know how they came up with the idea it’s a 4 star. So many facilities are missing. It is misleading and they charge you like it. Maybe it’s 4 star for Cape Verde standards but for international standards is maximum 2 stars

Breakfast is basic, no warm foods, just ham, cheese and bread.

I thoroughly enjoyed my getaway with my husband. The sea view, the food, and the overall atmosphere were all amazing. I loved every single moment!

Nice location and pool, very helpful staff. Denise made us a snack at late hours when our arrival was delayed and saved us from starving ?. Really accommodating service. We even got wonderful breakfast bags for the volcano hike. Thank you Denise!!!! Last day our lunch was served with such a delay that we didn’t have time to eat all. The communication between the waiter and the kitchen hadn’t functioned. The AC in the room blows right to your face when in the bed.

Location is very good and the pool and the wonderful view! The staff at the reception and Denise in the kitchen are adorable!!!! The breakfast box we got for the hike was very nice. The bar guy caused some misunderstandings pretending to speak and understand English. On the other hand he was very friendly, smiling and helpful.

An absolutely wonderful stay, with great staff, delightful ocean-facing rooms, and a perfect pool with some bonus gray-headed kingfishers. 100% recommend.

I had a great stay here. The setting, with ocean views and a garden and a swimming pool, is wonderful. Comfortable rooms, a good breakfast on the terrace, kind staff, an easy walk into town, all great. Nothing.

We stayed at this charming colonial-style hotel for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is extremely comfortable, and the staff is always attentive and ready to assist. The pool area is absolutely breathtaking, offering stunning views of the sea with the picturesque Brava Island right in front.

It is located in the center of the city. The staff is very kind and happy to assist on any need you have. It was a pleasure to have lunch there by the pool. The pool is big and the water has a good temperature. The air conditioning works pretty good. It took too much time to bring lunch and the shower is too small. the breakfast needs to improve.

Very nice place to unwind. We used our stay to relax after a hike up to Pico de Fogo. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is great as well.
