staff especially aki chan is amazing , also okuyama is very helpful Honestly, I wanted to give them five out of ten, but I'm giving a seven because the staff is extremely friendly and nice, and they were extremely, extremely supportive. The place is not bad. The bed is fine. The problem is that, in the summer, when it's hot, there is an air conditioner, but it might not reach the bed, especially the lower beds. It was very difficult to sleep. That's why we're going for a lower drain. If I had slept well, I would honestly give this a nine out of ten.

Clean, funky industrial aesthetic vibes. There must be a First Responders station nearby, there were sirens going off throughout the afternoon and night. Also, the curtains for the sleeping dorms are cream colored and don’t keep any light out, from either the dorm space or the sunshine in the morning. I had earplugs and a face mask. But it could be an easy fix.

Location is not exactly central but the metro and amenities are nearby. Common space in the annex is tiny. Poor wifi reception in the room. No washlet in the toilet. Also the top-loading combined washer/dryer was quite rough on clothing and slightly damaged some thinner items while creasing pants/long sleeves so deeply even ironing wouldn't get them out (and they charge extra to use the iron).

While better, the 8-bed dorm is all hard surfaces so could get quite noisy. The pull-down curtains did not help with this and made plenty of noise of their own. But the 10-bed dorm was much worse - very little room between the beds, barely enough to open a small carry on suitcase, frightful ladders and mold growing on the walls. I spent my last night there and felt lucky I didn't have to stay a day longer.

The place was very cozy and clean. The area where people can hangout and eat their meals was also very cozy. The stairs were too narrow and I didn't realize how troublesome it was not having an elevator.

Had a great stay here! The location is excellent, very close to all the main attractions in Sapporo, which made exploring the city super easy. The room was comfortable and clean, and everything went smoothly throughout the stay. Definitely a good choice if you’re visiting and want a convenient, stress-free stay.

Perfect location right next to a station on one of the main subway lines. The mattresses were some of the best I have experienced in Japan and the rooms looked very nice. The shared space was very spacious and comfy as well. While well-communicated beforehand (kudos to the staff!), the lack of an elevator is a downside when you are on the top floor.

Everything was very clean and comfortable. I had all the amenities that I needed and the beds had a good amount of privacy. The shower was exceptionally clean which was wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly, always greeting me when I came in, and always happy to chat or help out. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Also the subway stop was a minute walk away which was extra convenient. It was a bit of a ways out of the city centre, making it slightly cheaper. The walk to downtown proper was around 35-40 minutes which isn’t too bad if you don’t mind walking.

Super clean with great location

The location is really great but the facilities and bed could be better. The facilities were just so so for me, it was a bit difficult to get to the bed as the ladder was so thin. The door opens directly to the stairs and is a bit dangerous as we may hit people who are going up or down the stairs. You may also trip if you go down the stairs immediately.

The bed was pretty rigid, and the pillow was uncomfortable. It would be fine for someone that sleeps on their back, but I generally sleep on my side and had difficulty sleeping through the whole night because of the discomfort. I kind of wish there was a task light in the bed area, so that I could read in bed. The provided lighting was okay, but not quite bright enough for reading.

Comfortable, with a nice view of the road, and warm inside. Highly recommended this place.

Exceptional

It is clean and affordable. Can leave luggage with locks. It’s a bit far from the main lively part of UENO but there’s a train station 5-7minutes away by foot where you can ride the train and go elsewhere
