They gave a very warm welcome and treated all guests as friends or family. They were very knowledgeable about the city and environs and gave helpful advice for transportation and activities. I can't think of any way for them to improve their hospitality.

The whole house was cute and everyone was super friendly. The hosts were supper accommodating since I was injured from a ski trip.

The hostel is clean and very well equipped. The bunk style bed is comfortable and has sufficient space. The owners are such nice people. During my whole trip I never talked as much as I talked to them. I enjoyed that. The breakfast and cookies are like icing on a cake. The breakfast is simple but wholesome consisting of breads and boiled eggs and coffee. And the "supermarket" cookies are so good. The location is walking distance from Nakajima park in a residential area. Streetcar and subway stations are walking distance. I used streetcar to reach the hostel and it was convenient. The stairs to bed could do with some rubber matting for friction. It tends to be slippery sometimes. Also the dormitory room is a bit congested if two people want to open their suitcase and arrange luggage

Ocho guest house is well placed, quite in the middle of Sapporo to see the gardens, the museums, access the metro, buses, etc. at walking distances. Michi and Eric, the owners are kind, attentionate, helpful and enjoy talking with the guests. The rooms are clean and the space to sleep is quite cosy. The kitchen and the amenities are clean and of very good quality. You can see that the owners put effort and money to offer the proper equipments. Breakfast is sufficient to start the day with various teas and coffees, bread, jams and eggs, ; although I bought myself some fruits to complete the breakfast. Thank you ! Nothing.

Everything! I think I finally cracked the secret to finding the perfect hostel. Yes, it’s the facilities and the quality of everything. But more importantly, it is the owners who ultimately sets the mood. This place is a perfect example of it. Eric and Michi embraced me with a warm welcome from day one throughout day eight. They felt like a family from afar, and I am so happy to have found friends from them. I wish them all the best in life. It’s perfect

The location is close to Nakajime park, where you can get away from the hustling near Sapporo station or Susukino, but still get to enjoy the convenience of the nearby streetcar & JR Line. Being in the residential area, you may feel like a local staying here. Clean, quiet and cozy. Breakfast & coffee can get you ready for the day (especially when it is snowing heavily outside). Wonderful hosts truly did make it feel like home! None

It really is “your home away from home” due to its cozy home-like feel topped-up with the warmth of the hosts Michi and Eric as if you ade they’re own family. None of course.

Michi and Eric are such kind and friendly hosts that make you feel so welcome. Everything is so well organized, clean and safe. Truly a gem 15min to the nearest subway is a bit of a walk, but Nakajima-Park with its shrine is wonderful, too.

One of the best places we’ve stayed! Beautiful, cosy decor and incredibly hospitable hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed the eggs, cheese and toast with tea/coffee for brekky, and could easily walk into town or catch public transport. Very clean, plenty of spots for all your things and attracts a great crowd. For some, I would imagine the location is a little too far from Susukino or Central Sapporo but we enjoyed the walk there and back.
