Perfect environment, clean, swimming pool, bar, you can swim on the beaches in the pool because they are 2 meters away from each other. The city's pedestrian zone is only 5 minutes away.

It was my fourth stay in Vila Kalcuni. I returned because the building is beautiful, rooms are impeccably clean and it has a very nice private beach. Next to it there is an African Beach Club, also a very nice place to go for drinks or the beach. The location is next to the Ferry Terminal which may be convenient for trips to Corfu and the center of Saranda is in the walking distance. Breakfast improved compared to my previous stay so this is a plus. All was fine.

The location isn't bad. Be aware the pictures are not what the property looks like. It’s very dated and small. The bathroom smelled like sewage. The place its self is very noise. Can hear everything through the walls and doors. The beach is a nice touch but know that the picture is also not what you get. They will give you a small blue folding chair and 1 small towel. We actually booked another hotel and didn’t stay there the other night we were going to stay.

Hosts were very rude. They told us they won't accept our 6 year old in the room we booked even though it was mentioned clearly in the booking that kids under 12 are free. They then forced us to stay in a suite which costed us double the original amount. We eventually ended up not checking in.

The cutest bonus — lots of cats and turtles! :) Breakfast was good but the same every day! And we wish there was a gym. The shower was a bit unreliable. But all minor nitty gritties :)

The hotel is nice from the outside, and good location, The staff were friendly. The hotel is not a 4* and far from it I would have said it's more like 2.5* and this is only cause of the location and it looks nice from outside and breakfast area being clean. The hotel is not very well sign posted and had a very laid back attitude. 3% surcharge to use card payment. The room was ok not comfortable enough. Room service cleaned the room but didn't sweep not shower room was cleaned. Toiletries don't get refilled/stocked, 3 days later we had to ask for more shower gel and was question we have one y'day but they gave us a towel as they only replaced 1 bath towel when cleaned. Had like warm water for showers. The room was very small and basic with a small bed, and bedsheets not changed. Breakfast, very basic and not much choice for vegetarians, and you get filtered coffee, anything else you want like a latte they charge you. Coffee mugs are chipped and looked like not cleaned, they gave free Nescafe mugs. Fried eggs were cold and so oil it puts you off. Bread but no toaster. Beach access but the beach had broken glass on the pebbles, no one's cleaned it or tried to pick the broken glass. Broken glasses were everywhere, didn't feel relaxed at all. Overall a very disappointed booking that we had to leave half way and booked another hotel and the hotel staff didn't care to ask why or anything accept non refundable booking. For the price of the rooms, the service isn't up to scratch or 4* standard at all.

This hotel was amazing. It’s a little pricey for Albania standards but worth it. The pool was really big and never crowded. The beach with private chairs was perfect. They fill up quick but we never had an issue finding one. Having the pool and beach right outside your door is incredible. You’re also just a few minutes walk to the ferry port that takes you to Corfu and there are plenty of markets and restaurants close by. We actually ended up booking an extra night because we loved it so much. The breakfast is a huge spread of options and the room and balcony was comfortable and spacious. We parked our car in their gated lot and walked everywhere after that which was perfect. If you’re considering if it’s worth spending the money, do it.

Everything was very clean and the balcony view was incredible. There was nothing about this hotel that I did not like everything was perfect

We spent 12 nights at the beautiful Vila Kacuni with my wife, staying in the top-floor suite (the most expensive room).
The room is spacious, very nicely furnished, and always clean. We did step into other rooms as well, and they are equally very nice and clean. The housekeeping ladies do not speak English, but they are always very kind and keep the entire hotel and rooms in immaculate condition. The courtyard pool is a great experience, with a children’s pool right next to it. Both pools have fun features, although they are turned off most of the time. When they are on, they work well and are enjoyable. When you ask for it, the staff turns them on. If you get a room with seaview, you won't be disappointed. You see the entire bay and also the sea. The sound insulation is sufficient, which is important, because in every hour a ferry goes towards the Greek islands very nearby to the hotel. There are party venues near, playing loud music at evenings, but again, your room stays quite silent despite of this. The location is excellent, situated directly next to the beachfront. The beach is not for the exclusive use of hotel guests, but it is free for them to access and use the sun-beds. There are several restaurants and grocery stores at the very close proximity, so the guests can access any of these in minutes, just by walking.
Parking in the courtyard is safe, although sometimes it's crowded and hard to navigate in and out with your vehicle. Breakfast is sufficient, although rather constant—and frankly, the breakfast experience does not live up to the otherwise high standards of the hotel. There could be soft, relaxing background music, more variations in food. They open at 8, what was proven to be late for many of us, who wanted to catch the ferry to Corfu, leave for excursions, etc. The evening shift front desk guy’s attitude.

Beautiful spot with private beach . Wonderful view

I was there 3rd time as I liked it, the location is great and the building as well. Staff is nice. Private beach outside. I was disappointed in the quality of breakfast which I did not notice on the previous occasions, for the price charged should have been much better. Also, the room was on the back side so not an impressive view.

    Everything was perfect!

We had a beautiful and very large suite, which was exceptionally clean. Breakfast options were also really nice and lots of choice. Staff were friendly too. It was also 5 min away from the port which was very convenient. No restaurant at the hotel but there are many good value for money and good quality restaurants in the area. The staff also helped us with recommendations of where to rent a car which was really helpful. Lastly, I loved how the hotel has its own beach, would definitely recommend. Nothing
